It'd be awesome if the Dad was this popular jock in high school, and his son is nothing like that. Could make for some interesting conflict with the Dad trying to push the son to be more outgoing.

You know, I sometimes think we get so caught up in SP's physical presence that we neglect to comment on his amazing strength as an actor.

I am always astonished how he can transform his strong, chiseled features with chameleon like ease to project emotion. One look in his eyes tells everything the character is feeling. That my friends is talent.

Yeah, that was one of the good effects of Luke not being the most talkative guy. Gave SP many opportunities to show off his acting skills.
But I'm not going to deny the his physical appearance pleases my eyes...

Actually, if they don't want the hunky dad, SP could do the geeky dad as well - after all, SP is nothing like Luke - talk about a transformation. The first time I saw SP interviewed I was completely dumbstruck by unlike Luke he was - in his speech pattern, even his voice was lower as Luke most of the time, etc.

If they want less hunk, they can throw on a pair of glasses and a sweater vest and let SP go to town...although not too sure how they are going to hide that body of his - maybe they will put him in the same type of horrid clothes ASP put him in episode one of season six while he was waiting for Lorelai to go out - the slacks didn't fit, the shirt didn't fit - that was just awful.

I wonder, too, if they will let his balding self show without covering his bald spot - personally, I wish Hollywood just get over it's problems with balding men and just let them be - SP would look great no matter what, but it will be interesting to see if they choose to let his hair just be how it is...I hope so.

All of this talk just again reminds me of how much I'm gonna miss having "new" Lukes to enjoy - I realize that SP can do well bringing another character to life, but really, there's never really been a character quite like Luke, played by someone who infused the character with a lot of dimension. Sigh.
