Spotty electricity but the hot water heater blew. It's not fun rinsing your hair in tepid water (worse when it's cold)

The footage of Sandy is so devastating. These are the NJ beaches I grew up on. So many memories from my younger days and from our kids growing up. Thankfully it sounds like the house our family uses was spared any real damage which is unreal because it is on the bay. So fortunate.

This year is shaping up to be one of those where we each have a lot to be thankful for. A lot of heart and positive feelings are being sent out to those of us less fortunate.

The first day right after DST ends is always the longest. Barely 3pm and it seems so much later.
