Everybody had a good weekend? Very quiet here in London!

Did not go out at all..... mainly to avoid the first wave of demonstrations going on ahead of the G20 meeting this coming Thursday.

We are all bracing ourselves for a lot of "troubles" on Wednesday and Thursday.... with demonstrators flying in from all over the place, with intent of smashing stuff and destroying windows etc.... mainly in the Financial District (The City) of London.

Hopefully nobody will get hurt..... but our Police Force is on red alert.

How is everyone else?

I watched the first episode of the new series "The Mentalist" at the weekend. Not bad at all..... have you been watching it too? What do you think?

Oh Lua -- let the crazies do what they are going to do; just be sure to be out of harm's way. Tax time is around the corner which is the only grey cloud of my weekend (it's not free to live in the US, ugh); the weather is getting real nice.

I just procured a dvd set of Good vs. Evil!!! There is an episode with Scott in it that has him looking like Satan. Susi has screencaps on her website -- now I get to see how he faired in acting as that character. I've also found the series Vengeance Unlimited, where Scott is in two episodes and that is on its way too -- So just like Luke and his sushi magnets -- basically I scored.

I haven't tried to watch The Mentalist -- I don't know why. I'll give it a try.

Hi you all!!

Sorry I have not been around for a couple of days, but there's lots of historical stuff going on here in London, which I had to follow on TV.

We currently have the G20 Summit going on here and let me tell you my dear US friends..... your President and the First Lady are truly a "class act"!!!

The whole Summit has been televised minute per minute.... including the visit to Buckingham Palace, where Barack and Michelle Obama met our Queen...... and let me tell you even Queen Elisabeth and Prince Philip seemed to be star struck by the Obamas. They are so nice!!!

Without exception, all TV and Newspaper Journalists and the public were completely in owe of your President and the First Lady, who has been inspiring crowds in a way we had not seen here since the Princess Diana days. Today Michelle Obama was practically mobbed by pupils at a school she went to visit..... she spent several minutes hugging and kissing school children, who were quite emotional by the end of it!!

President Obama is as an exceptional public speaker and is truly mesmerizing when he delivers his speeches and answers impromptu questions from journalists. He has quite a wicked sense of humour, which of course we British people find very endearing. He's very confident but at the same time extremely humble and that went down a storm!! He's truly remarkable and you guys in the US are very lucky to have him as your Leader!!

So a very busy week here in London, with lots of demonstrations about all sorts of things...... with some vandalism and sadly even one death, but it was truly an historical week.

I am off to watch Mr Obama press conference now.

I'm glad to hear the the mickey mouse stuff is being kept to a minimum.

To be honest..... way back then..... we were probably asking for it!!

Well you guys....... more great stuff to report about your "groovy" President and Michelle Obama.

They went to Strasbourg (France) this morning, going onto Germany for the NATO Summit, and they were literally mobbed as they took a very short stroll on the street with President Sarkozy and his wife!!

There were French women queuing up to kiss President Obama, as he leaned over to shake hands - I kid you not..... he's like a rock star!!! He's so kind and approachable and he's charming everyone's pants off..... without even trying.

He delivered another "killer" speech, as he addressed the NATO Conference and everyone was totally spellbound!! What an inspiring guy!!

Anyway..... I am just watching the News and I am sorry to hear about the hostage situation you guys have going on in New York State at the moment. I know there were casualties and I hope you and your families are all OK.

Crazyboutscott....... "positive impression" is an understatement!!! They have won everyone over and inspired such respect!!

Michelle Obama visited a school yesterday - she was the surprise guest at the school assembly and there was a never ending spontaneous applause when she walked in. She gave a superb speech about education and how it was "cool to be clever and good in school" etc.

At the end of the speech she leaned forward from the stage to shake hands with the (by now) speechless and owe struck pupils, at which point all the children run forward towards the stage and started hugging and kissing her (let me tell you her security agents had a couple of terrified moments!!)..... but she hugged and kissed them all back for several minutes - Michelle Obama was so genuinely moved that she was chocking back tears.

As I said in my previous post, the Obamas also went to Buckingham Palace to meet our Queen...... who also appeared to be starstruck by them. So much so that Queen Elisabeth broke with protocol and actually embraced Michelle Obama..... which caused quite a steer in the media. You see apart from shaking hands..... the Queen never actually touches anyone in public and it is absolutely against protocol to touch or embrace the Queen. But as I said.... on this occasion Queen Elisabeth was so happy to meet the Obamas that she actually put an arm on Michelle's back..... and of course Michelle Obama did the same....... that was incredible if you consider that we never even saw the Queen embracing her children in public over the 55 years she's been reigning.

Of course all the fashion magazines are besotted with Michelle Obama sense of fashion, style and elegance, which they are now frantically trying to copy - again as I said in the previous post, we have not seen this kind of coverage since the Princess Diana's days.

Your reports are fun to read, Lua. I agree with you about Michelle Obama. She's like a new version of Jackie Kennedy. Everyone is examining what she wears in clothes, jewelry, hair styles. People are fascinated with both of them -- and it feels good to read and see this this. Down to earth people talking about important issues, with a human element.

Keep up the great reports!! Well done.

Hey you guys! How is everyone today?

Weather here in London is just fab!! Warm, sunny and very pleasant!!

Had a very decadent day..... did absolutely nothing in an attempt to perfect the art of "vegging out" to Olympic standards.... and let me tell you, today I won at the very least the bronze medal!

The truth be told..... I can't really move that much..... as every single muscle in my body is aching. I went to the Gym again yesterday, and my trainer made me do boxing exercises for 30 minutes .... which was very interesting to say the least!!

Just killing time until "An Inconvenient Truth" is aired on TV this evening. I have not seen the movie before, so I am really looking forward to the screening.

So, what have you been up to? .... Spill

It's been quiet in Maryland. I've been working days and nights -- home and office for trial prep -- all is completed and is ready for Monday -- watch the parties settle over the weekend -- there is activity of that, but we had to get ready for just in case purposes. Funny how most cases settle on the eve of trial -- and a large chunk of attorney's fees/expenses are expended for trial prep than for negotiations for settlement -- We'll know tomorrow for sure.

Thinking about going to see the Cherry Blossoms in Washington, D.C. tomorrow and taking my brand new Nikon D40 with zoom lens digital camera and seeing what all the huh-bub is about.

I need to get motivated on working off my winter junk-in-the-trunk. Started out with brisk walking around the neighborhood today -- a little windy but invigorating -- I need to be inspired ... maybe early morning swimming of laps.

I need a weekend trip -- trying to think if it's really too crazy to go to L.A. for a 4-day weekend. Thoughts????

How long would it take on a plane to get to California from where you are, Deborah? If it's not too tiring and you can get the time off..... go for it girl and treat yourself to a relaxing break!!

I am sure you can find some amazing last minute deal!!
