Hi Deborah!!

I hope you are doing well and that your Dad is improving everyday!

Funny you should ask..... yes I am planning my summer vacation! I am almost convinced..... I just need to check out a couple of things before I make my final booking.

I have "almost" decided to take a tour of New England for 8 days from Sept 13! It's a tour of Plymouth, Rhode Island, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Boston, The White Mountains, and Vermont.

The more I look into this the more I want to go, but I need your advise on the weather situation in New England in mid September. I looked on-line and it seems to be more or less like in London.... around 21C, assuming it's not raining of course.

What are your thoughts on this, please?

Many thanks

I have an attorney at my office who has a place at Martha's Vineyard and he says that September is the best month of the year to go there!! Fabulous weather -- 21c tp 24 c (70 to 75 f). Some change of color for the beginning of Fall is around the corner. The further north you go the more color and the more cooler (sweater weather after sundown). I love New England -- closest thing we have to the "Brits"!!!! Wish I could be there with you -- am with you in spirit though!!

The weather is so weird here right now. We had soo much rain lately. It's not summer-y at all.

I'm just posting here the saddening news of the passing of Farrah Fawcett. She was a beautiful person in the body, face and spirit. It's tragic that cancer can just take people from our lives too quickly. I'm grateful for her being and how she singlely changed the hairdo of women in the 70s!!! How many other people, despite your age, wanted to have long feathered winged bangs as she did and those soft curl and that long, soft-curly hair -- and that color of blonde!!! We will miss her -- May she Rest In Peace.

The World has lost two icons today -- it's a very sad day. Despite what anyone's view is on Michael Jackson's personal life, he was a major influence in the world of pop/rock music that traveled almost 5 decades. I can remember him as the cute 5 year old of The Jackson Five -- and still think that his album "Thriller" was The Gloved One at his best. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his young children. May he now Rest In Peace.

The party was really funny. The Rookies of the team weared a bikini and makes an erotic-car-wash. The runningback got a tiger face painting in his face. And I make a lots of pics (my friend make also a new pic from Jared and me), and got a lot of autographs on my team poster.

Jared is a really nice guy, and it's good to have him here in Dresden.

Thanks for the thoughts Deborah!

Yes.... truly the end of an era with the passing of 2 major stars/icons of the entertainment industry. Both very different, but tremendously influential and unforgettable people.

Wow, great news, Lua!!! Just a reminder that when in the US, we drive on the right side of the road and the steering wheel is on the left side of the car -- and, we call petrol "gas" and we still sell it in gallons not litres. Nantucket is beautiful in the Fall; then of course, Martha's Vineyard will have you ooooh-ing and aaahhh-ing. If you venture southward, Philly might be nice to visit. I'm sooo excited for you!! Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up on "driving" Deborah, but you'll be relieved to know that I will not be doing any driving in New England. It's an organized tour, so we are going to be driven around by a local driver, so I can spend all my time with my nose pressed against the window snapping pictures like crazy!!!

I'll be visiting.... Plymouth, Rhode Island, Cape Cod (with Whale Watching!!!), Martha's Vineyard, Boston, Lincoln, The White Mountains, Conway and a Tour of Vermont.

I am looking forward to having Lobster in Cape Cod!!!! I wonder if when I am there I can catch a Baseball match somewhere..... I must ask my tour guide a soon as I land. Of course for all I know.... September is probably not even Baseball season.

I can't wait....... 73 days to go!!!

That's great, Lua. I'm sure you'll have an amazing time.

Guys, does anyone of you know/watch True Blood?? I've started watching recently and it's really good. It got me hooked. Bill and Sookie. <3 (Plus, I love the fact that they're dating in real life as well )

Hey Lua! I am a true-blue and proud New Englander (though I live in Europe). I hope you enjoy your trip. If you want to see a baseball game, you're going to the right place. There are lot of passionate baseball fans in New England.

September is a great month to see a Major League baseball game. It's the final full month of regular season games. The playoffs begin in October. The Boston Red Sox are in first place at the moment, but they are in the toughest division in baseball. Come September, I guarantee you that they will be locked in an intense battle for supremacy in the American League East. They have 11 home games in September. Here's a link to their schedule:

2009 Red Sox Schedule | redsox.com: Schedule

If you can find a way to see a game at Fenway Park, you will be in for a treat.

Unfortunately, you'll be a little too late to catch a Cape Cod League game.
The Cape League is comprised of elite college players from all over the country. Many go on to make to the major leagues. You get to see quality baseball in Field of Dreams like settings. Too bad their season ends in mid August.

I'm excited for you!
