I remember getting up early with my sister-in-law about 20 years ago to get in line for a Cabbage Patch kid. It was crazy!

Oh, I remember the Cabbage Patch craze. It was insane. My mother has a doll collection of almost 100 years of them. Two lighted curio cabinets filled to the rim -- and I remember her request for a "vintage" cabbage patch doll -- said it would be worth a lot of money in the future. The struggles we went to, to get that doll!! and I looked at this doll and it just looked an oversized Raggety Ann doll to me.

On a sad note, we had a lonely security guard at a local Wal-Mart who was opening for Black Friday shoppers -- who died from injuries from being trampled on just by opening the doors. That's just pure insanity. I didn't like nor appreciate the coverage on this -- the people were stating that the "reason" for the happening was to get tv sets that were on sale -- acted very flippant and it totally disgussed me. I feel for this person's family, who was just doing what was probably a second job and never foresaw the danger before him.

Be careful out there. Gas prices may be going down, but desperate people tend to do desperate things. Be safe -- be well.

Boy, it's a dreary day today. I brought out some of the Christmas decorations and started dressing up the stairwell with pixies and hanging holly. It's not much, but it's a start.

I just got back from Target and the lines are insane! It took me close to 45 minutes to get checked out. I think I'm doing the rest of my shopping online; I really don't like crowds and having to wait in line to purchase 3 things.

I am excited because I am almost completely finished my decorating. I just have to do my two up stair bathrooms and I am done. Then I can concentrate on finishing my shopping!

Not quite. This is the last week of classes and then I have finals all next week, before flying out to Washington to be with my family over the holiday break. I am SO ready for this semester to be over.

CJ my kids favorite meal is meatloaf too. Whenever I tell them they can pick what I will make for dinner they both say "Meatloaf!"

Good luck on your Spanish exam, Scooter. Funny about meatloaf -- who said it was a boring meal??? Everyone I know loves meatloaf -- there are so many different ways to prepare it.
