Then I found out she was a huge slob. I swear I've seen more mold in the past 7 months than I have in my lifetime. Last month, I asked her what she was going to do when the lease was up in June. She said she was going to move in with her boyfriend. I told her that I was wanting to stay in the apartment and my brother was going to move in. I told her that all she had to do was let me know what she was doing. Well, lately we really haven't talked alot. Cleaning up after her and her not paying half the cable and internet since we got it was really getting on my nerves. And she was spending alot of time gone and whatnot. So, she didn't go to work Monday-Wednesday last week. Went on Thursday. And didn't go on Friday. I got home Friday after work and she'd moved out..and didn't even tell me! And she didn't answer the phone when I called her. I had to txt her the next day to get her to responde. It's ridiculous. __________________ Justin: Cause now I understand what it is you want of me. | It's a life lesson. But better to lose a few bucks then to continue with the headache. You're better off in the long run Jenn. __________________ Avi by:Duke Proud Member of Scott Patterson's Fan Forum![]() 2008: The Place to Discuss all things Scott

| Wow -- I agree with Lulu -- it shows a lack of maturity. Sounds like you read the warning signs though. And there's something comforting about a family member living with you. There were times I wished my first brother (I'm the eldest) lived with me -- for protection and other kinds of sake. You are definately better off without all that melodrama though. Well, I took my 18-month old new car for regular service check -- oil change, balance the tires; replace a burned out tail light bulb (which is impossible for me to replace myself) and I get a call that I need new brake pads. I was expecting a $50 maintenance bill before the call about new brake pads -- after the call the cost was $455 dollars. I requested the old parts and they gave to me. Paid the bill after work on Friday, went home -- my father and I eyeballed the pads. My father was disgusted -- said there was plenty of life in the brakes. He was disappointed in me that I allowed that to happen. My car was 30 miles away from my office; they had taken care of my car really well since I bought it -- I had no reason to believe that they were wrong -- only have 22K of mileage on the car -- thought that since it was a high performance car, that the Washington, DC commute, grid lock was playing havoc with my engine and brakes. Such is life. My father wouldn't let it go. He took my brakes to another GM Service dealer who told him that there was 10K-worth of life left in the brake pads. Who-boy. Now I have to call the Service Manager tomorrow and ream him a new "hole" (I'll let you guess where). I took a lot of auto trips last year that added mileage to my car, but I usually average about 12K mileage a year -- so in a way, that's a year's worth of brake pad life. I got screwed. What's funny is that the Service Rep gave me this Questionnaire to fill out and send in about his performance. Guess I'll use that as a bargaining chip when I speak to the Service Manager tomorrow. "Do you 'really' want me to fill out this form and send it in????" I hate auto mechanics -- honest I do. __________________ avi by Cappuccino Scott’s 50th Birthday Package is in "Hollywood, California"!! | I agree. Good riddance to the bad roommate, although it is upsetting right now. You are truly better off in the long run. Good luck! __________________ Proud Member of Patterson's Posse R.I.P. George Carlin.....****, ****, ****, ****, **********, ************ and ****. | |||

| Well, they've messed with the "wrong" woman this time. I'm not the "little lady" when it comes to talking about auto repair. Believe me, they are going to get an ear full from me. Cute story. I was arguing with another auto mechanic about 7 years ago about a sepentine belt -- he charged me $300 to fix. When in the world does it cost $300 to fix a belt on any car!!!!! And within 24 hours, the car wouldn't run. I had it towed back to them and they called me and told me that it would cost another $200 to fix!! My immediate response was "Well, that $200 is on you, not me." A partner of the firm heard me talking and looked concerned. I put the guy on hold and asked Robby was there anything wrong and what could I do to help. Robby said, "Deborah, are you talking to a client?" He was concerned about the language being used. I explained to Robby my auto mechanic story and his response to me was: "Carry On!!" I told the auto manager that I worked for a law firm, and that the firm needed the extra work, so it's his choice. Fix it now or pay me later. His choice. I got my car fixed the second time around, properly, at no charge. Nobody in the Washington area likes auto mechanics or service at dealerships. All a bunch of shiesters (sp??). They bring out the Irish in me. __________________ avi by Cappuccino Scott’s 50th Birthday Package is in "Hollywood, California"!! Just out of curiosity, what kind of car do you have? I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 GT. She's my baby ![]() And thanks everyone. It sucks that I'm 30 and need a roommate...but I'm female and enjoyed my credits cards just a biiiiit too much And I wanted my new car! The former roomie, she's 25. So I put alot to her age. Granted when i was 25, I didn't act like her.Anyways! I hope everyone had a good weekend. __________________ Justin: Cause now I understand what it is you want of me. I'm 19, I had to take my car into the shop quite a few times (the FIRST day I had my car the seatbelt broke.) They never fixed one of the big problems that it went in for AND they put me in a rental car (which was later wrecked by someone around my age) which is illegal in case anyone didn't know. You've got to be 21 (or 25?) to drive a rental car. ![]() Damn nissan dealership... __________________ madelynn girl could get lost T O N I G H T ♥ | |||

Tough about roommates though. In a way, you just may have dodged a bullet -- it could have gotten a lot worse. And she at least gave you current month's rent. Lucky twice!! Quote:
Such is life, right? I'm off to watch the HBO miniseries -- John Adams. Be back in about an hour. __________________ avi by Cappuccino Scott’s 50th Birthday Package is in "Hollywood, California"!! | Both cars are great -- maintenance is not that bad -- it's just dealing with Service Reps of dealerships. Advise Lulu-Son to be wary -- though since he has a "GT", Lulu, he'll need to follow the advice on upkeep. These cars aren't built like 1970-80 cars anymore. Way more complicated with lots and lots of sensors/computers/electrical stuff. I'm sure his car will be just fine. My dad couldn't find fault with mine in the Consumer Reports -- he's been an advocate there for 30+ years. __________________ avi by Cappuccino Scott’s 50th Birthday Package is in "Hollywood, California"!! | Hey! ![]() How's it going? It's so cold here today. You wouldn't believe it since it's April already. ![]() I went to an interview with my sis today. She was applying for a job in a school.. not as a teacher but more like some kind of tutor for little children.. staying with them after school until their parents pick them up. Anyway, entering the school (it was a catholic one with Jesus and Maria pictures all over - ), it made me remember my own school life back then.. and I was just happy that this is over. I wouldn't wanna go back there.. seriously. ![]() __________________ ~ Susi ~
