Thanks, Deb for the new thread!

Yvonne - Sounds like you have to take time. Absolutely not prying ... just to say I hope it's for all good and happy stuff - the holidays, etc. Marking pages for ref. - just like Jess and poetry! Are you going to keep the Aliens site going or take a break from that, too? "ho-cho and a book" sound super ... not as much fun when it isn't snowy or freezing cold outside, though.

Es must be going crazy without a computer. It would drive me nuts!!! At least there's not much real news.... If she doesn't have a computer by next week, does that mean she won't be able to see the latest Aliens when it comes out?
???
At some point, should we designate a back-up for the holiday card exchange, in case neither of you are back yet...?
Looks like Es won't be back until next week. She hasn't even seen the last ep of Aliens.

As for the Aliens website, it has been neglected as well...

I think a back-up for the card exchange would be a good idea. I asked her if she was able to get online anywhere, but she hasn't replied yet.

Isn't it amazing? Z, even though he is a freak, is amazing!

Do you have the other 2 books as well? Or won't you read them?

It was amazing. Once I got caught up in the story, it was really good. It wasn't the best idea to only read a few pages every once in a while, so I took the time to read more. And..
Spoiler:

I have book 4 at home.. but I feel like reading something else now for a change.

Z did change, but not completely. I like that. The flashbacks were very good too!

ETA: I officially posted my away message on the mod board and requested a temp mod. I will definitely pop in now and then to make a post. But I can still be found on MSN and I will try to remember to turn on AIM as well.

I am no good at banners, whatsoever -- is there one we can "borrow" for this thread as well??

I got up at 4:00 and was at work by 6:30 with 4 dozen freshly baked doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and 4 dozen assorted freshly (early in the morning) baked (still warm) bagels -- with 7 tubs of cream cheese (whipped, lox spread, veggie spread). Everyone in the office loves me on the first Friday of each month -- I'm the Breakfast Lady!!

The Offtopic Thread has a banner. Just take the one from the previous thread.

Aww, that's a way to start a day.

Okay, I'll check the previous thread's banner. Wasn't sure there was one.

I'd love you to if you brought that to work on the 1st Friday of every month, Deborah!

Sounds like a good plan. But you obviously didn't get much sleep last night. I hope you make it through the day okay.

Well Operation Decorate the House will begin shortly. My son (who moved out in April), will be here to help me. Ever since he was a litle boy he has been so into the decorating and the holidays. So much so he knows where things go from year to year and knows if something is missing.

His comment to his roommate when he said "What would you do if I didn't 'let' you decorate?" My son's response. "Move out for a month."

Can I borrow your son for a little bit to decorate my house? I'm giving my sister's children free reign to do the decorating at their grandparents' house this weekend. The job is all theirs. Now this ought to be fun. My father is going to wig out. We might be celebrating Christmas at my parents instead of my sister's house (with her illness -- just not up for it, and I don't blame her).
