(guest star Michael DeLuise) as a contractor. When Rory pays Luke a surprise visit at the diner to find out how Lorelai is, he feels obligated to tell her that he and Lorelai are engaged. Afterwards, Luke confronts Lorelai about her estrangement from Rory. Feeling lonely, Lorelai adopts a dog at the Stars Hollow pet fair. Finally, during a chance meeting, Lorelai and Rory have an angry confrontation about their mutual hurt feelings.

Kelly Bishop and Edward Herrmann also star. Daniel Palladino wrote and directed the episode.

Wow SP really did an awesome job in this episode, all the acting and ranting during his scenes were amazing.

Hehe i like TJ too, he's funny. He brings out lots of ranting Luke.

I just loved the eppy. Everything about it. Sympatised with Rory a bit. Pissed with the G-parents and Lorelai. Laughted with all the townies. Poor maid Esperanza.
And was I alone thinking George was great? Maybe he's an old friend of Luke's dad, from his construction years?
Really sad about the TH. Again Luke makes the sacrifase.
Speaking of which: Luke/Scott was amazing. A real show stealer! And the Luke-roof-rant! PREACH IT LUKE!!!!!! Plus he looked really, really, REALLY

Me after just finishing to watch the episode --->

I´m speechless atm, and that doesn´t happen that often.

ETA: Luke and Lorelai were somehow so different from previous episodes, separately and as a couple. I love it! They should get engaged more often, it´s good for them!

They are able to really talk with each other and discuss without ending up being mad at each other. They seemed so mature.

Amazing episode...Scott was the best. These were some of my favorite scenes and lines...um well ever. This one definitely went up on my list of fave eppies. Luke...rant...Luke...roof...Luke...toolbelt (Meeeeow, perfect)

I must say that I agree with all of you, I just find that Scott did so well in last night's episode. I loved the rant, it wasn't fair for him to be stuck in the middle of the Gilmores fight and i'm glad he told Lorelai so.

Maybe she does already post here as one of us.

I still can´t get over how great the episode was. And I´m still not able to express my feelings about it better than in my post yesterday evening. I could only ramble about it for several hours, and that would be boring to read.

I think its because Luke was the only character who had his head screwed on and that was written beautifully (and Scott really pulled through). I mean yes, it was a very"sympathize with Rory" ep, and I did, but it's the fact the she really did put herself in the situation that I can't totally root for her.
