Scott Patterson - Gilmore Girls Continued? GG movie discussion thread #1 - Page 16

I was confused too Razzle, when I saw the name Scott. You mean there are other Scotts in the world? (she says in jest because Hubby and Jr are Scotts)

I actually was daydreaming about a GG movie and you know how the last scene in season seven the Girls are back in the diner. In my daydream the movie revolved around L/L's wedding (yes shocking coming from me right ;>) anyway in the movie it's a few weeks after the weddoing and Rory is heading back to where ever she was at (Obama's campaign a job elsewhere) and they are in the diner. Luke comes over in his 'banker' shirt and Rory comments "Have a meeting at the bank Luke" Luke: "No a doctor's appt." Rory: "Are you sick?" Lorelai: "Actually, we have a dr. appt." Rory: "Why would you both have an appt?" Lorelai Looks at Luke, smiles then turns to Rory gives her the little knowing smile as her hand touches her stomach. Lorelai just nods her head yes and you know that Rory knows that Lorelai and Luke are pregnant. End scene

Very cute! It's so cute that he would be dressed up for a Dr. too ahah

My latest GG ending idea is a bit grim (but has a happy ending), maybe one day it'll be a fic.

Lulu - I love your scene!! That would be great if they gave us exactly what we wanted to have happen in the GG movie!!!

And I would have definitely have LOVED to see the GG set when it was all still happening. I am so jealous that you got to see it when it was still in its glory.

As all of you said, I wouldn't mind at all if they brought back the various exes as long as they don't try to break Luke and Lorelai up. In my mind, I always see Luke and Lorelai running into one of their exes and their exes seeing how happy L&L are together. It is usually Alex or Jason or Nicole I see. If it was Nicole, she would see what she gave and have some regret of how she treated Luke at the end.

Damselfly - Thanks for bring that info over. I have only heard awful things about ASP's new show. From Day 1, it sounded awful to me. I couldn't imagine it ever going anywhere, especially since she left GG is such a mess. I believe you can start new things and have them succeed until you work out the problems from past things/projects/relationships. I think the Palladinos have to set right the wrongs they did with GG, before they ever will succeed with some new show or movie.

Looney - That is awesome that you got to see TROJJ in action. And you got to see ASP. Too bad it was for a show that was such a disappointment.

Years and years ago, when I was in California, I was in the audience for some game show that never made it to the TV screen. It was somewhat anti-climactic. I wished I was in the audience for a show that I really cared about.

Thanks Elissa, You don't know how fortunite the timing was for my trip to the WB, I was there that Feb and GG the series finished in April.

To paraphase Babette it isn't just Location, Location, Location, but Timing, Timing, Timing.

I'm wondering if ASP is reading all the reviews comparing TROJJ to GG and how it pales in comparison. Might make her really think about a GG movie.

I don't know if Amy reads reviews, didn't she say something about it in an interview or am I thinking of one of the starts?

And remember she found out about the Paris ep from the cover of her TV Guide, and didn't watch any of the final season. But I hope she does when she set out to write the movie, IMO she can't do the movie without understanding the final season.

Maybe she doesn't understand the last season haha

Maybe it's all a figment of our imagination...

I have heard that ASP has watched Season 7. I know for a long time she didn't, but I heard on one of the forums or threads I go to (I'm not sure which one) but that she was not happy at all the way things were left at the end of Season 7. It was no surprise to me. Not too many people were satisfied, so I would think she would be just as horrified as the rest of us since it was her baby.

Razzle - I wouldn't mind so much if they took in the direction of a dream or a figment in of one's imagination. They did that in "Dallas" when Bobby (Patrick Duffy) came back after having been dead for a year and a half. Whatever they need to do to get it back on track is fine with me. As long as Amy and Dan write it, and it seems like we have our old Luke and Lorelai back - that's all I care about!!!

Oh I totally agree, I'm hoping this is just a really long hiatus we've all made up. Group amnesia!! I'm all for it.

News to me.

It wouldn't surprise me if she was not please. I mean Logan gone, L&L only just together again. Rory did get a great job and it was probably time to leave town, even if it could have been for a short time.

I'd be interested to know what Amy would have done in S7.

Wonder if Michel Ausiello got that interview with her yet

I think we all want to know that! I only heard one mention that she has seen Season 7. If she's working on a movie of some kind, she would have had to seen it. I hope it disappointed her 10 times more than it disappointed us.
