OT - Isn't a laugh track only used if they can't get a studio audience, for a traditional 3 camera sitcom? (unlike Aliens which is a single camera show. Long live AiA) I would have thought no matter how bad people would be lining up to be part of the studio audience for a ASP show.

I think Amy knew this ahead of time. The reason Fox changed the amount of episodes, the delay in airing, the change in date and time. And all this done before the first eppy aired. Maybe TPTB weren't impressed either, and then the strike came (everything happens because of that d--mn strike).

Amy is licking her wounds now. She's been stung. I love Lauren Ambrose in Six Feet Under -- When I heard she was in JJames, I went, whoa, that's different for her. And yes, there wasn't one favorable review that I read online. Maybe Amy will be writing something worthy -- that put her on the map -- GG. Even if she writes a script, she's got a long way to go. But it's a good start in the right direction. There will be groveling involved.

I read on MA on TV guide.com that they may not even show all 7 episodes of Jezebel James. Maybe Amy should stick to the GG movie script.

Ha - I was in the audience for the filming of the pilot of JJ. It was a full house. After seeing a scene redone for the 6th or 7th time you really can't laugh anymore (assuming it was even funny the first time). Apparently we also laughed in some of the wrong places, lol. I suppose they had to augment the studio audience with a laugh track.

I hope Amy is working on a GG movie script. We all know she can write a good script if she wants to. I'd love to see what she comes up with.

cooper..that is so col that you were in the audience. It's a same the show was not too funny. I agree that Amy should be writing a GG movie...Lorelai is Amy's best "voice"

Yea, it was fun to see Amy and her hat in action, lol. It's a shame the show wasn't very good. I hope she comes through with the GG movie and they film at the WB studio. I would love to try to catch a glimpse of them filming. And see Stars Hollow back in it's old glory.

Keep your fingers crossed for a GG movie, cbs. They'll have to set the town up again. You'll have a small window of opportunity to see it, but hopefully you can. I really miss meeting up with people from the internet to take on WB tours. It was a lot of fun. Met a lot of good people that way. We need that GG movie for so many reasons, lol.
