Decision to sell the Sunday primetime block is an acknowledgement that the night has been a tough one for the CW - and before that, the WB, which also struggled to gain ratings traction there.

This part shows that the CW's moving Aliens to Sunday nights was their way of saying that the show was a bust in their eyes -- and that's a shame. The writing on the wall began on October 21, 2007, after three episodes -- the CW added Aliens on Sunday night as well as Monday. I never thought that moving to Sundays was a good move. I thought it was a prelude to it being a permanent spot/main spot, which did happen. January 28, 2008 was the last Monday night that Aliens aired and it was strictly Sunday nights from then on. The CWs plans for Aliens was etched in stone on that day forward. Alas.

That's it!! As base and low as (I thought) I knew the CW execs are, they've actually managed to shock, disgust, appall and nauseate me - again - almost beyond words. There are no limits to the depths to which they will sink!!

It's official: everything prophesied in the film "Network" - approx. 33 years ago - has come to pass ... only there's no one's screaming "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" ... besides which, no one would listen....

See, I knew Aliens was gone, but the fact that they'd replace ANY television show with three hours of infomercials on a Sunday is just ridiculous.

Why am I not shocked or surprised by this? You take the word unbelieveable, apply it in any position, and then add the phrase "the CW" to it and there you go -- their philosophy on how not to succeed in the network industry.

I couldn't agree with you more, Lulu. The CW is just soooooo good in communicating information, aren't they. Just another reason to thank Scott for the news. And I agree, I wish Lindsay, Dan, Adhir and Amy great success in the future -- away from the CW. I swear, there's nothing there to keep me watching anything on that channel anymore. After Aliens, we're done.

All the networks are rolling out their fall programming right now - it's TCA week. I'm sorry - to the max ... but Aliens is done.
