I am grateful for the shows we have so far. It was nice to see Scott on television for another year. It would have been heartbreaking to have his weekly/daily television fix being with GG and nothing more. Given the WGA strike, if he hadn't taken Aliens, we would not have our weekly fix, and now the SAG strike looming the pickings seem to be slim for him. I'm afraid that if Aliens is not renewed, we will be on a wing and a prayer to see him in another show on a regular basis next fall. Anything could happen, so Aliens is a stepping stone in more than one way -- we'll have two shows to review over again. Until his next tv venture.

I still think Aliens is a great concept -- and if any larger network would have given them a chance, with more $$$ to invest into it, might have faired better then anything CW was put forth. You know, I there's still the possibility, because of the critical acclaim of the show, that another network could pick it up. I only hope that the CW is smart enough to let it go to another network.

Have any of the cast been on Leno, Letterman, Conan or any talk shows to promote it?

Not that I know of. No -- no promotion on any of the night talk shows. They were still filming the final episodes in the beginning days of the WGS strike. After that, Scott was promoting Saw. We've only heard a couple of radio interviews from some city stations, but that's it that I know of. CW isn't real smart in that department.

I SO wish another network would be smart enough to pick it up. I noticed Monk is now on NBC - but it's gotten solid ratings and Tony Shalhoub has won a lot of awards. I fear we will not be so lucky.

I miss monk, here it was taken of the big networks and is on PayTV which I have but there are so many channels it's hard to keep track.

It is was on NBC it might not have got a full season pick up (well as good as we got with the strike.) Maybe if it was on cable then it would get more season but shorter which IMO will be the future trend for a lot of new shows.

Austria - just like GG's ending wasn't announced by the CW until less than 2 weeks before the finale aired!!! And that was for a show that lasted 7 years. That's 2 days per year. Aliens = 1 year - and only 18 eps. - not 23 -->
ergo I predict the cancellation of Aliens will be announced 1 1 /2 days prior to the last episode.

I'm sorry the show is leaving us because I enjoyed just seeing Scott each week. It beats the alternative -- and there were some great moments of Scott as Gary Tolchuck. I didn't think the show was stupid -- however, I don't think it was at all in the same caliber of GG. But Scott seems to have moved on -- and so must we, right? Onward and upward. Move-On-Dot-Org.

I'll miss it. I wasn't attracted to his character like I was to Luke's but I loved seeing SP doing something so incredibly different.

I'm sad I won't be getting my weekly fix
