network support at the CW is somewhere between a bad joke and a contradiction in terms ... and I'm among that .9 in ratings that doesn't only like Aliens - I love Aliens! I mean - it's not GG - and I can't say I'm not biased by Scott being in it (big time) - but I love it! Do not want it to be over! ITA! Meanwhile by the end of this run - I'm anticipating some MAJOR withdrawal symptoms (sorry for shouting - it's the DT's) ... with no weekly ScottyP - not even intermittently. It's what I feared at the end of GG - deferred but not long enough. There is no "long enough"!!

ITA! I have come to love Aliens. We still have some hope, right? If Aliens gets cancelled, I am hoping the current economic climate will motivate Scott to stay in television. I need my weekly Scott fix!

I agree too, what will we do with out Scott every week? I really am holding on tight to that last straw and praying they renew Aliens.

I hope that Aliens gets renewed, but if not I hope there's a new venue for Scott on a different network. I don't care if he still works with the WB -- just far, far, away from the CW. It's in my evening prayers.

I wonder if there's a chance that another network would pick up the show?? Aliens as established itself with critical acclaim, and was nominated for a PC Award though wasn't in the in the finals -- but still. Their ratings really aren't bad for a show that's received zilch marketing from the network who wanted the show to begin with. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen (enough). Let's hope another network picks up Aliens.

They seem to be picking bests for this interim 4 weeks - "No Man Is An Island", "Metamorphosis".... I think those are among the bests, anyway (though I love 'em all!)

That looks like a raise in viewers. Well, there wasn't any substantial sports competing with the show. There was Pro Basketball, but seriously, who watches that??? All the MLB games were ending their afternoon/late afternoon games -- and 9;00 p.m. is the bewitching hour for movies and the like on network and cable stations. Too little, too late.

It's pins-and-needles time in the TV biz. Over the next couple of weeks, the suits at the Big 5 will be deciding which bubble shows will be back next season and which ones will be fast-tracked to the MIA network. To help ease your anxiety — well, except in the cases where the bubble's about to burst — I've compiled a list of those shows currently hanging in the balance followed by my own assessment of their chances and, mixing buzz and intel, an Odds of Survival rating of 0-10 (0 being dead and 10 being a shoo-in for resurrection). I think that M.A. is being extremely generous. I don't even give them that high of a rating (unless M.A. knows something that we don't). And just what does the "CW know" about Aliens being a show that doesn't suck; and that it's funny and smart?? They sure do have a strange way of showing it!! All tell-tale signs from CW is that they don't give a flying rats toushee about Aliens -- and neither does M.A. -- he's been AWOL on Aliens since the premiere. We've heard nothing -- nada -- zilch -- nil -- from the man since the show first aired -- til this moment. Just my humble opinion.

For Moonlight fans, it's looking real good!!
