Will They Be Back In The Fall?

The CW's Reaper could meet it's maker. The Game and aliens in America are also in doubt, but one could return and get paired with Everybody Hates Chris
Also some spoilers were give and I'll put them in the spoiler thread

After the last couple of eps I hope more than ever it comes back.

OT - I know it's changing all the time but last I hard Reaper was looking good for renewal.

Every time I watched Reaper, it made me laugh. They also film Reaper in Vancouver, along with Aliens. But lately, I've been reading rumblings that Reaper was in question as well. Both being products for the CW. There's a common denominator here.

lancer I agree, after the last couple episodes of Aliens, I really want it to return. It has gotten so much better and I think the cast is working better together.

Went back to that website I had linked before, that listed cancelled 2008 shows. It was updated Mar 22nd. Jezebel James has been added, but no Aliens or Reaper for that matter.

Survives another week!!!

It's a shame that now it's on a 4 week hiatus. Losing the rhythm, or even the chance to keep an audience.

Well I shot an e-mail to cwtv.com, asking to save Aliens.

As soon as I find Dawn O's address, a letter is going to her as well.

I may be spinning my wheels, but it makes me feel better to have tried.

Michelle that's cool. I just think it's a shame if Aliens goes because it really is getting better.

This is what I wrote. Short and sweet.

Quote:
I really hope that The CW decides to bring back Aliens in America for a second season. It really has been coming in to it's own with these last few episodes. I've enjoyed the show from the very beginning, but these last few episodes have really shown the cast gelling in their roles. It would be a shame to give up on Aliens now.
It is unfortunate that the writer's strike affected the airing of shows. I feel this left Aliens at an unfair advantage. I think you should have fate in it.
From what I've read the critics are praising it as well. Sadly I've noticed that it appears that The CW has given up on it. First by moving it to Sunday, then by virtually having little to no advertisements for it. You don't seem to have trouble telling me that Beauty and the Geek or Pussycat Dolls will be on, days in advance, but Aliens is lucky to have a blurb a minute before air time.
I've stuck with the CW solely for Aliens and Gilmore Girls prior. If Aliens in America isn't renewed, there will be one less viewer watching the CW network.

Thank You
,

I will try to draft something today or tomorrow and e-mail it out. Yours is a great note, Lulu.

"No Man Is An Island" is on this Sunday nite -- the first of 4 repeats.

Well I looked at last nights ratings and it's interesting that Aliens is basically pulling the same numbers regardless if it's a repeat or not. The ratings were 0.7/1

Now a new episode of EHC was 0.9/1 and The Game and Girlfriends both did 1.1/2I think The Game was new, not sure about Girlfriends. So ratings wise if they were going to pair something with EHC, The Game has better ratings. Saddly.

As far as the 2008/2009 upfronts (and keep in mind we still don't really know for sure, for sure if Aliens is toast) the CW's day is May 15th, 2008

"Pilot" 2.33
2 "No Man is An Island" 2.11
3 "Rocket Club" 2.23
4 "The Metamorphosis" 2.35
5 "Help Wanted" 2.11
6 "Homecoming" 1.78
7 "Purple Heart" 1.99
8 "My Musky, Myself" 1.37
9 "Junior Prank" 1.89
10 "Church" 1.84
11 "Mom's Coma" 1.09
12 "Hunting" 1.17
13 "Community Theater" 0.81
14 "One Hundred Thousand Miles" 0.91

Those are numbers in millions. So basically it started with a draw of a little over 2 mil and has dropped to less then a mil.
Look how much it dropped after Church and we had the big break, it never recovered.

I will never ever understand the logic behind the decision the CW made to put so many months break between episode 10 and episode 11 during the writer's strike when they already had the last eight episodes filmed. Seems like they were just trying to lose momentum for Aliens. Why would they do that? Jeez!!

Thanks for the numbers, Lulu.
