Thanx for the new thread, Es -- we may have another page or two in us wth 7 more episodes. It's not looking bright right now for a future for Aliens.

It is, what it is.

I hope the last episode of Aliens is one of closure -- Episode 1 showed the beginning -- let's have a nice closure episode at the end. And if that did happen, then we'll see some tell-tale writings on the wall. If otherwise, then we will know it was a surpise that the show was ending in one year.

It's interesting to see how there were onlne articles from all over praising the show, but it wasn't enough to sprout legs and take off. Makes me wonder what other shows in the were dealt with the same situation and fate.

The answer is no. From the CW...

The CW announced that it will eliminate the comedy department with just one comedy renewed for next year.

Aliens in America, WWE's Smackdown and the Girlfriends won’t come back this fall.

I'll admit that Aliens isn't his best work. Considering the alternative of not having Scott on Aliens -- the only time we would have seen him last year after GG would have been Saw IV. The writers strike came right after that, so it wasn't likely that we would have seen him in any other shows, even with guest appearances from September to the end of the year. It was the best case scenario, which was given his best try.

I just wish he'd get out of the "horror" theme. Enough of the "boys" stuff already.

There just doesn't seem to be enough Scott stuff out there.

Who knows what the future brings.

As a result of this, I will no longer watch another CW show. I'm done with them.

I agree. I've always felt Scott/Gary was the weakest part of Aliens In America.

I didn't understand some of Scott's comments in the article Copperboom posted yesterday. Justin is a social pariah, which Gary's supposedly baffled about, but that's not how it plays on screen. Gary is as big a social misfit as Justin, and seems clueless and disconnected when it comes to his family. It would've made more sense if Gary had been a pillar of the community, involved in social programs, youth sports, and whatnot - a popular ex-high school jock, prom king and so forth.

I know I won't miss slobby Gary shoveling food in, and eating with his mouth open. A total waste of SP's talents.

I guess there are now two bars from which to measure. One to attain -- the other to stay the h-ll away from.

It was still nice seeing Scott on tv each week, than spending a year wondering what his next movie was going to be. Hopefully there will be a better venue for the fall -- but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Oh yeah, true!
He was supposed to be a jock in his high school days, but that isn't showing at all now. It totally would have made more sense if he still was the popular guy or whatever

I always hated those segments. And yeah, a total waste of his talent. And if I may say so, I'd rather not see him at all than see him in a role like this.

He has a job now -- He's had one before the airing of "Church". When Franny threatened to sell the alpacas from Craig's List.

I don't mind seeing Scott on television when it's a weak show and a weak performance on his part -- so long as he's on the television weekly, How else will we be able to discuss what we do and don't want him doing again??

Now we know.

Gary's eating habits were my first pet peeve of Scott. I still don't know if it's acting or R/L. Most people seem to think it's acting. I'm not so convinced.
