7.01 The Long Morrow Episode Discussion thread

Lorelai wakes up in bed with Christopher, then tries to get rid of everything that reminds her of Luke; Logan gives Rory a plane ticket; Kirk and Taylor cause an accident that damages Luke's diner; Luke asks Lorelai to elope.

Let's go!

(gentle reminder: No bashing. We don't roll that way over here, and it will not be tolerated)

SP totally rocked the ep. That was an Emmy worthy performance.

Quite drool-worthy, too. There were a couple points at which I would've loved to *can't say it because it wouldn't be PG-13* or *nope, can't say that either*

:D

SP was so amazing, i was totally blown away by how great he was.

Loved the Paris bit at Yale.

 Kirk crashing into the diner because of the flash, too funny.

OMG!!!! Scott totally rocked in this episode.
I even cried in that last part  The way he talked and the way his voice sounded...that was sad :(

This was definitely Emmy worthy!

Scott's performance easily the best thing in the eppy IMO.....

I can't believe how much I loved the ep! And yeah, SP rocked!! You saw his heartbreak right there and then at the end.

I loved the honesty in this ep. First Lorelai telling Sookie and Rory about the break-up, then she told Luke about Chris. I am glad they didn't drag that out. Only now I really don't see a way for them to be together again. It really seems like it's over... :(

I wonder what Lorelai will do with herself now Rory is going to London for the summer.

Folie 09-28-2006 05:26 AM

Rory is not leaving for the summer. Logan booked her the ticket for Christmas.

I thought he was only still planning on that and had already got a ticket for her to come now, since he said the plane would leave the next day... :look:

He said he'd send the ticket the next day, not that the plane would leave.

I agree about the scene with Lorelai/Sookie -- that whole 'I needed it to be over' discussion ripped my heart to shreds --then my heart was ripped to shreds again in that final scene, with the begging and then Luke's face when she told him she'd slept with Christopher. I felt like someone punched me!

I think they need the time apart. And honestly, I've made my peace -- as long as neither of them ends up with someone else, I can deal with them not together in the end. Though I think that they have to find their way back to each other -- even if it is just as friends. I'm curious as to how long it will take, though.

I agree, it's just so heartbreaking.

Wow, SP in the last scene. The whole "I don't care" thing had me in tears. The best part of the epi IMO.

I agree! SP was amazing. Let's hope he gets some serious attention this year as his acting has just gotten better and better.

So I was thinking about it, and maye it's been pointed out before (if it ha, I'm sorry for bringing it up again) but Luke suggested that they can get married on a boat (in fact he said he didn't know if it had to be a certain size) and it occured to me "wait a minute, he sounded like he just figured it out. Did they forget about Nicole?"

The boat thing was kinda weird to me too, but maybe he was explaining it to Lorelai.... :look:
