(unless they are related to you)

Three of them were related. It wasn't as fun as one might think. Plus I didn't fair very well during the day's games. Oh well.

Yeah, the related aspect is the exception to the rule.

ETA: Razzle, are we ready for a new round of get-to-know-you questions??

I've got one for you gals!

What one word do you tend to use most often in every day conversations?

For me, (and SPA and KbatMO can attest to this!) it's totally, although, I find myself dropping the "f-bomb" at least 5x a day as of late. More if I'm driving-- Grays Harbor County, WA drivers are the worst in the nation!!!

Just wanted to remind everyone to stay on topic in here

Really the only discussions should be about the answers to the questions

ETA - One other lil thing, make sure there's more than one question being asked. A suggestion - maybe since Razzle started the thread, she post the new set of questions each Tuesday. And to help her out, you all can PM the questions to her and she can pick out 5 for the week?

Week #2

1. Do you know from what country your surname (family name -- whether maiden or married) is derived??

Ireland, thru and thru for me.

2. What is your most guiltiest pleasure?

Day spas -- the most relaxing time I've ever spent -- body massages, body wraps, facials, mani and pedicures, hair cut, color and style; make-up suggestions; tanning bed if wanted to but I haven't done that -- yet.

3. Do you consider yourself a pragmatist or an idealist?

Hmmmm -- I think I'm a pragmidealist -- a little of both.

4. Knowing what you know now in your life, would you change your path; and if so, to what -- and why?

If I had known that purchasing products over the internet was going to be such the booming business that it has been for the past 10 years, I would have invested in FedEx and UPS right before it started -- and made a mint!!!!

5. What is is your favorite season of the year???

I love all the seasons, but the Autumn tugs at my heart most each year. Must be the cool breezes and the changing of color.

6. What word do you use most in daily conversation??

"Fine." That's the word I use most each day. (has different connotations)

Interesting questions and responses. Thanx for doing this Razzle. Made me giggle a bit.

1.Do you know from what country your surname (family name -- whether maiden or married) is derived??

The original spelling of my last name was Norwegian, but, in order to “be more American”, my great-grandfather changed the spelling upon arrival at Ellis Island.

2. What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Chocolate!

3. Do you consider yourself a pragmatist or an idealist?

I’d say I lean more pragmatist.

4. Knowing what you know now in your life, would you change your path; and if so, to what -- and why?

No. I’m only 22 and I’m (relatively) happy with the path my life has taken, especially in the last 4 years. I may look back when I’m 40 and kick myself for doing/not doing something, but right now, things are good.

5. What is your favorite season of the year???

That’s a tie between early spring and mid-fall. The area I live in has these beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossom trees that are in full bloom right now, and (added bonus!), it’s not raining as much! But I also love mid-fall when the leaves are changing colors.

6. What word do you use most in daily conversation??

See up thread

Week #1
Why were you given your name? If you do not want to share your real name, why do you have the username you do?

I actually have no idea why my name is what it is. (Madelynn or Christina) but the reason my SN is Razzlephrat was because of Gilmore Girls.

In ten years, what will you be doing (or want to be doing), what kind of person do you think you'll be?
I hope to be working for the FBI doing Behavioral Analysis/Profiling. I hope to be starting a family of some sort as well, whether it be marriage or serious relationship

What song best describes you when you first wake up in the morning?
Jason Mraz - 10,000 Mother *******s

What is your favorite book you read as a child?
The one about that toilet monster, I can't remember the name for the life of me.

What is your favorite joke of all time? Clean or PG-13?

Quote:
A man was driving down the highway, and sees a sign saying "Sisters of Mercy, House of Prostitution, 10 miles"

Thinking it is some sort of joke, he pays no attention, until he sees a similar sign reading "Sister's of Mercy, House of Prostitution, 5 miles."

Still unsure, he drives on, until spotting a third sign saying "Sister's of Mercy, House of Prostitution, next exit". His curiosity getting the better of him, he takes the exit and parks his car outside the convent.

He knocks on the door, and tells the nun who answers "I saw your signs on the highway, are they for real?"

The nun answers "Yes", and tells him to give her $50 and follow her to a room.

He enters a room, and a second nun requests $50, and leads him to a door. Once he opnes the door, he is quickly shoved outside by the nun.

He finds himself behind the convent, where he sees the final sign, "Thank you for you contributions, you have just been screwed by the Sisters of Mercy."

Week #2

1. Do you know from what country your surname (family name -- whether maiden or married) is derived??

Well my last name is Anderson (like anyone could possibly find me with the 8 billioin Anderson's...) of the Norwegian Andersens. (I'm Polish, Greek, Norwegian, Indian, Austrian and of course American haha)

2. What is your most guiltiest pleasure?

I don't have a guilty pleasure. I don't feel bad about doing anything I like.

Okay, I like to read bad stories (both fanfiction and books, like horribly written) and watch bad TV shows. Who's The Boss?

3. Do you consider yourself a pragmatist or an idealist?

Pragmatist.

4. Knowing what you know now in your life, would you change your path; and if so, to what -- and why?

I would've changed how I did things and hte people I met my freshman year of college. So, yes.

5. What is is your favorite season of the year???

SUMMER! Except for the bees, which terrify me beyond what they should.

6. What word do you use most in daily conversation??

Probably the f-bomb as well, even though I hate doing it because it sounds very....ill spoken, I guess. But in daily conversation sans the cursing I guess...um...well it's a phrase "oh my god".

Week #2

1. Do you know from what country your surname (family name -- whether maiden or married) is derived??

My maiden name and my married name are both of German origin.

2. What is your most guiltiest pleasure?

Having my husband do the laundry. I rarely do it anymore. Maybe one day when we live in a different house, and the washer & dryer are not in the basement down a narrow and windy stairway, then I wouldn't mind doing laundry again. But he washes and folds my underwear! I never folded my underwear in my life! I always just threw it in the drawer.

3. Do you consider yourself a pragmatist or an idealist?

I'd like to think I have a bit of a pragmatist in me but I'm more an idealist.

4. Knowing what you know now in your life, would you change your path; and if so, to what -- and why?

The one thing I would have definitely done differently is I would have never ever taken my first job out of grad school. It was a HUGE mistake and I knew it right from the interview, but I just wanted to get into the workforce, so I took it. It would have saved me years of grief and confusion.

5. What is is your favorite season of the year???

Spring. It is starting to warm up, but not be too hot, and the days are still getting longer! Plus, my birthday is in the Spring!

6. What word do you use most in daily conversation?

'Oy.' or 'Oy vey.' And in the last year I've added 'Oy with the Poodles Already!'

. Do you know from what country your surname (family name -- whether maiden or married) is derived??

maiden name is 100% Italian

married name is 100% Irish

I did a complete turn around when I got married and believe me my face does not match my married last name!

2. What is your most guiltiest pleasure?

Going out to eat, I love going to breakfast, lunch, dinner...anything so I do not have to cook. I also still love my 80's music...I just can't let go.

3. Do you consider yourself a pragmatist or an idealist?
a pragmatist

4. Knowing what you know now in your life, would you change your path; and if so, to what -- and why?

Oh YES... I would have been so much better saving money rather than spending all of what I had an then some....I also would have kept a better control on my weight because now it is so hard to get off. I also would have had another child.

5. What is is your favorite season of the year???

Spring and winter. I love Spring when everything comes alive, it looks so beautiful. I love winter because I love it cold and I love snow.

6. What word do you use most in daily conversation??

see above
