Promise me that when you pick the boy you're really gonna be with, that he'll be someone who respects you, and treats you well. And it's someone who makes your heart race. And that it's someone that you love because of what he is, not what he does.

You know, sometimes it's hard for me to look at you without seeing your mom. You got so much from her in such a short time.

Your mom didn't sleep for a week when we brought you home. Every cough, every gurgle... she'd be up and have you in her arms immediately. I teased her about it and she said: "I'm always gonna be there for her. No matter what. She's gonna know her mother loves her."

I guess Oscar Wilde was right about our parents, you know. We love them, we judge them and hopefully, we forgive them. I find myself doing all of those things for all three of them and if I'm lucky, maybe they'll do the same for me.
