I think the reason I love @ahoffmanwriter so much is that she finds beautiful all the same things that I find beautiful. Her books are full of sturdy women who can thrive in inhospitable places. Fun being in New England and seeing the frozen landscapes described in some of what I’ve read this winter.
Finding beauty in the “now” rather than wishing for spring is something I’ve been working on.
Sunlight through the barren branches.
Blue colored mountains in the distance.
Gray skies that make the red barns pop.
And this pond - my own “blackbird pond” - that freezes and thaws like a living, breathing creature.
