I think they will be filming 4x09 and 4x10 very shortly (they just wrapped 4x08) so hopefully we'll get a little insight in to what to expect for the mid season finale.

This is sad news and I think a dumb move on the writers part. I'd rather see Neal in some semblance of a relationship with someone special than blowing through women like the wind.

Do you guys think it had something to do will all the animosity toward Hilarie? or an exit the writers had always planned.

I also think the writers may wanted to scrap the whole domestic side of Neal altogether, but who knows :/

Maybe she will do a couple more by the seasons end.

This is sad news, and i cant fathom the reason. JE loved Hilarie despite some of the animosity Sara was getting from the haters. Who knows! Maybe they did decide to scrap the domestic storyline, or maybe they can still portray in a smaller number of episodes with NS still in a relationship, just less screen time with the two together.
