I'm not much for alternate reality stories in general. And like you said, dystopia's are usually pretty pessimistic so they just aren't my cup of tea. The only alternate reality stuff I like are superhero stories, but they are usually based in the "real world" to some extent.

I like Firefly too. I've only seen a handful of Fringe eps, but it seemed fun. How depressing would you say that the Man in the High Castle is, lol? I've been thinking about giving it a go but the premise is super dark. Or I'm just tired of the Nazi theme. Idk. I haven't read the novel either.

That makes sense. I like alternate reality, but I need to able to see what real world situation and/or ideas prompted it. Otherwise, I just don't see the point.

Still pissed that they cancelled Firefly. Fringe was only dystopia in S5 though, but 4 seasons were still great and pursued different worlds and stuff like that. It's fairly depressing but I still enjoy watching it though.

Fringe is on my never-ending "watch someday... maybe" list.

No plans for weekend here. I usually work weekends.

I haven't really gotten around to watching the whole thing yet, but the parts I've seen I enjoyed it.

Maybe you get inspired to catch up with the whole thing if you ever rewatch the show. I binged it right after I finished all the eps (I watched the show pretty late) and barely remember it now. Except the main villain, whom I really liked.

Yeah probably. I think it's on the Aussie Netflix so I might watch it then I have some free time.

If someone thinks of a title, could you open the new thread? This time around, I have no ideas for one.
