NICK LACHEY GUEST STARS — Brooke (Sophia Bush) discovers something that could change Sam’s (guest star Ashley Rickards, “Ugly Betty”) life. Nathan (James Lafferty) questions his dreams of playing in the NBA while Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) receives an unexpected offer from Nick Lachey (appearing as himself). Jamie (Jackson Brundage) and Skills (Antwon Tanner) mend their broken hearts at Jamie’s first school dance. Meanwhile, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton) have a road trip to remember.

Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Jamie (Jackson Brundage) bond while working on Peyton’s (Hilarie Burton) car, and Nathan (James Lafferty) learns that NBA scouts will be at his next game. Erin- I think this is the spoilers thread you most frequent. So... I just wanted to pop in and respond to your comment on the other board, and say you're welcome. I never make any promises with what I say, but, I don't attempt to mislead, so- I apologize if and when I'm off with this. You can just take everything I say with a grain of salt, and consider it speculation or crazy fanfic that just might happen. I'm cool with that. LOL.

I apologize for any tensions I may have created mentioning the name, so many people had been inquiring, and I thought it was a harmless give, I'm going to need to learn to just not. So, maybe I can take the edge off, and answer your question about how or the context? Or... I think you asked something on the other Board?

Well, I'll just answer. If any of what I'm saying is to be believed and accurate... The naming of the baby is all Peyton, in regards to both names.

We don't find out the baby name Sawyer, until pretty much the end of act one, because Peyton is pretty much out for the count until just right before the end of that act. So, the baby is nameless for that act, primarily. (Unless any shifting or editing occurs. Which I doubt. That should be the timing.)

We don't find out about the name Brooke until a BP scene pretty near the end of the episode, close to the coda or final montage, whatever. Nobody else is there. And, of course, as I'm sure most assumed the setup, Brooke and Sawyer are "bonding" what with Brooke asking to hold Sawyer and talking to her about spoiling her, then... The name comes to Peyton. We only hear Sawyer referred to as "Baby Brooke" once after she's actually given the name, I believe. There is a Julian/Brooke scene early in the episode where during part of the scene, Julian jokes or teases about the not yet named "Baby Brooke," but- It's a throwaway comment. Unless ad-libbing or evs happens. That's all you'll have to hear it. So, you're not subjected to a lot of full name gushing or cooing. It happens, Brooke is honored, cooing in response to the honor ensues, we hear Sawyer called "Baby Brooke." That's it. It's wham bam over. It's a scene and occurrence rather in isolation (you'll see, this episode has fewer full core cast and more scattered about main five cast interaction scenes than I would have expected minus the beginning, and even then, there's only really about two full core cast scenes with all of them, and not much dialogue amongst all of them in those moments.) We don't even know if NH know the kid's full name. I kid, I'm sure that's something we're to believe happens off screen. LOL. But, you're not subjected to more than that. FWIW, I also don't think Sawyer has godparents, pretty sure not, well, not mentioned in this episode anyway, unless that was added later or we hear about it in season seven. Really, there's not a ton, ton, ton of character interaction in the form of the core five together or even some of the core or initial friendships. PH light, NP light, LH light, LN light, BL light, it's... I can't explain it without... You'll see.

I apologize if any or all of this winds up being different. I'll own it. However, if accurate, I hope this helps put things in context, and again, sorry for saying anything. I wasn't really thinking about... I'd love it if we could not move my post to the main LP spoilers thread in this context or in it's entirety at all, or to the OTH main spoilers thread, either. I'm merely trying to fix some chaos I created, and would rather fly more under the radar with just how many details of the scene might be out. Again, if this is accurate.

That's not surprising.

I'm confused by this. Julian says this before the baby is even given "Brooke" as a middle name? That's weird that they would call her "Baby Brooke" though. Isn't that the name of the clothing line?

Nah. It's a play on words. Brooke refers to the baby with that name when talking to Julian, because the baby doesn't have a name yet, and it's her first choice, at least so she says, to his amusement. LOL. Julian then starts talking about his Baby "Brooke's," how one is sleeping, and how one needs to get some rest because they haven't had any.
