Thanks for the new thread, sweet title.

I didn't enjoy S6 a lot and it has nothing to do with S5, while I wish a lot of it was addressed, I'd be fine them ignoring it if S6 wasn't such a snoozefest. It was just so stale, really, I felt everything fell short; Lucas book, Peyton's bio-dad, Julian, Peyton's car crash...just everything. 6.17 finally breathed life back into LP's story only that too staled after that episode with Lucas having scenes fixing the comet and Peyton on bedrest. Nothing exciting really happened.

I think that's only Brooke's character, I can't remember Haley, Nathan, or Lucas getting anything of that sort. I do remember Brooke saying how strong Haley was for dealing with S1-Nathan and Peyton told Lucas that he's always trying to save people or something or another but the way they praise Brooke, you'd think she's the queen or something, that we're supposed to bow down to her everytime she walks by.

No, I mean with Brooke it's insane cause it's every character praising her and in every freaking episode! LOL But not that I pay attention or anything, but I think Nathan constantly thanks Haley for believing him and being supportive and all, she constantly tells him he's a great father and husband, and Lucas gets a lot of praise from Peyton all the time too. Of course it hasn't always been like that, I'm just talking about S6 but yeah, all she got in S6 was 610 and Mia saying she's brave. And I guess maybe I should count 603 and 621 when he tells her she's gonna be a great mom. I mean, no kidding, in 624 every.single.character gets a thank you but the girl that almost died for her family. It's crazy lol. But like I said I do think actions speak much louder than words, and Lucas did show with actions, not only great gestures but little things too, like how he's always babying her and making sure she's not only physically but emotionally ok too, and all.

What I love about Lucas is that what people call him ~fighting~ for other girls is what he does for Peyton naturally and daily when he doesn't even need to, without being asked to and with the sole intent of making her happy. And, in some cases, with no intention at all, even unconsciously sometimes. LOL But that's for another thread.

LOL Yeah, that too.

And S6 could have been 10x better, I know that, but at least they kept this consistent about him and it's one of the reasons why I love LP, just like I love how Peyton is always so supportive of him, and one of her biggest concerns is his happiness as well.

Lucas does all this because of Peyton's character though. Its how understanding Peyton is when it comes to him. Hell when it comes to everyone Peyton's way to understanding. She doesn't judge or manipulate. For the most part I don't think Peyton's ever maliciously tried to hurt anyone other then Haley in S3 and Lindsey in 509 really. But then after that she apologizes for her mistakes. She does it way to much too. I don't think I'll ever be attached to a character the way I was/am to Peyton. I started watching the show loving Lucas Scott and relating to him but by the end of the show Peyton clearly stole the show and I'm sorry but they can bring in all the pretty people they want but no one is ever going to replace Peyton. If for some reason people still continue to watch OTH next season I guarantee you people will be feeling like a huge whole is missing. Its the way Mark writes this show. I truly think Peyton's his favorite character.

Yes, understanding. LOL That's the word I was looking for in my last post. She really is, and I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I wish she wasn't so much, lol but probably in that case I wouldn't love and admire the character the way I do.

And seriously, I know Peyton is not an angel and sometimes she messes up due to her passionate and impulsive nature, but she never intends to hurt people and whenever she does she feels horrible about it. That's more than I can say for any other character on this show, including Lucas.

Xanda, since I have a bad memory when it comes to any character that's not Lucas and Peyton, I tend to forget all of those things lol. I only remember Brooke's praises because it has been engraved in my mind.

But Lucas is always telling her she looks amazing/beautiful/hot (601, 607, 6.11, 6.14, 6.16)---do they count? And there's the superhero comment from Nathan.

I guess for me, like you said, its shown from Lucas without the need to verbalize it, you know? He always thinks the world of Peyton and has always believed in her, that was pretty evident when he gave her the office (S5) and told her that he knows she can do it.

I mean, yeah, something in 6.24 would have been nice given everything she went through---I was extremely disappointed, initially, when the episode aired and there wasn't any dialogues between LP after the hospital scene aside from the last scene which doesn't count but a lot was crammed into it and there wasn't any room. I just went through all of the S6 LP scenes on youtube right now and I think its really a lot more gratifying to watch now.

What's funny is that Peyton was all her boyfriends' inspiration; first it was Nathan with the weights, Lucas with his books, and Julian with his movie lol

Lucas tells her she's going to make an amazing mom and that she deserves to have all that [family] someday.

Thanks for the new thread Lena, love this title. It took forever to get through thread five, hopefully six goes faster.

Peyton is a very inspirational character. I can see why she inspired the lives of almost all the other characters she met on the show. I think we see how much Peyton means to other characters through their actions which means a hell of a lot more than empty words.
