I thought Hilarie did a fabulous job again portraying Peyton last night. I know when does she ever fail to do that right?

I think for the first time last night it was so clear to me what she was trying to do with Jake. It was very clear. My heart just aches for her. Never have I felt this much for a fictional character. I think its all because of how well Hilarie plays this character. She can convey so much with a simple stare, or smirk or smile. *sigh* And she was just so beautiful. I loved her hair and how it flowed and her clothes were really simple but remained true to who she is

Oh I loved her portryal last night, it was heartbreaking to see her hurting so much when all she wants is to be loved by someone. To have some kind of connection to someone who will be there to love her back.

Im still quite speechless about last night's episode. Hilarie and Peyton totally owned it. I could just feel her emotions last night. Again Hilarie does such an awesome job conveying Peyton's thoughts and feelings. She was so torn last night. She finally realized and admitted that she still has feelings for Lucas, but she knows doing so might cost her friendship with Brooke. But the heart wants what it wants right? She can't forever just hide. Her telling Brooke how she was feeling was evidence of growth and development on her part. That's what she should have done in season 1 when Brooke asked if she was feeling left out being a 'third wheel.' But I guess that's just Peyton for you. She is selfless. But she can only run from her feelings for so long. And perhaps admitting them is a bit selfish, but why can't we be selfish when it comes to the matters of the heart?

As an LP shipper, I thoroughly enjoyed the NP and JP scenes last night. And I thought that they did such a graceful and respectable job of "closing" JP and making JP the catalyst for Peyton's feelings for Lucas to finally come out in the open.

^ I could not agree more with you. I was floored by her performance and deeply moved in a way that I haven't been able to feel for a tv character in a long time.

I haven't felt so attached and so moved by a character ever in my life. I give Hilarie all the credit for that..for making feel and care so deeply about Peyton.

I thought she was so real in the last episode. I loved her struggle with her feelings even though the outcome wasn't my favorite of course.
