CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY DIRECTS THE EPISODE — As news of Peyton's (Hilarie Burton) condition spreads, Mouth (Lee Norris) and Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) struggle to remain a couple and Brooke (Sophia Bush) tries to suss out Julian's (guest star Austin Nichols) intentions. Peyton and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) babysit Jamie (Jackson Brundage) and his friend, while Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Nathan (James Lafferty) spend a night out together. Antwon Tanner also stars. Chad Michael Murray directed the episode written by Mike Daniels (#614).

I told you all a couple of weeks ago on the Hilarie board that I was waiting to hear about Peyton being pregnant. Well, I finally heard. She is definitely pregnant. This has come from two reliable sources. (I'm not talking about Kristen. I'm talking about two people connected with the show.)

Random thought- I think Brooke's going to end up not wanting to date Julian, and it will be something like she doesn't want to be in another relationship with someone that's possibly still hung up on Peyton. That's probably her relationship issue in 615.

That's probably it...and do you blame her? She got burned once by a Peyton leftover, would you want to do it again? I wouldn't... Speaking of, I always laugh at Brooke bringing Peyton the to-go box..when Peyton should have given it to her... <shrug> But, now that Mouth is available, I still have an odd feeling that Mouth and Brooke will end up together. And that is something I would like to see. I always thought those two were good for each other, and don't forget the foreshadowing comment about Brooke being married to "Senator McFadden". I honestly think that will be the end couple with Brooke.

Yeah I can see that as well. Once again lets blame Peyton for Brooke's insecurities *sigh*

I would say she might be conflicted between Julian and Owen but Joe's not on the show at the moment so yeah chances are it has to do with Peyton and Julian's past.

So...do we think Peyton is overreacting to her being pregnant being a problem for Brooke? Does anyone think Brooke will be upset at her at all, since Brooke still wants a baby? (And what the heck happened to that baby she was supposed to be getting anyway??)

I think Peyton needs to STFU and be happy. Its not Brooke's business about her having a baby. She shouldn't need Brooke's approval about being happy but then again thats probably why I love her.

And also

ohnotheydidnt: "the new hollywood blacklist"

Those non famous actors need to simmer down. I need my LOST, ****ty OTH, god awful GG, intense Prison Break and my hilariousness of 30 rock, the office and others.

I dont think Brooke will be upset. She should be understanding especially since she can still have her dream of getting a baby since no one is preventing her from doing it except herself.

I totally agree. I was really surprised by the list of those opposing the strike, and it includes quite a few 'A' list actors. Right now is a crappy time to have a strike and last seasons writers strike almost killed me. Another one will finish me off, I will drop my satellite and just live off of DVDs.

But we are not talking about Brooke though. We are talking about the ridiculousness that is Peyton worrying about Brooke's feelings

I don't think Brooke will be angry. Privately, it might be difficult for her to deal with, for obvious reasons. But i don't think she would take that out on Peyton. I know one of the promos made it look like that, but in the other one, it was clear that the "get out" was actually directed towards Millicent.

Anyone think that this firelight kiss might be between Brooke and Julian? I'm guessing the 'first kiss' has to be Mia and Chase (both nice people, but does anyone really care, i ask you?!)

Brooke never actually said that she wanted to have a baby. She always said she wanted to adopt one. She never, ever expressed an interest in getting pregnant and giving birth. Adoption was always what she talked about. So whoever keeps saying that Brooke is longing to be pregnant and that Peyton stole her pregnant dream from her, is crazy. Because 1) Brooke never wanted to be pregnant, and 2) I wasn't aware that only one woman, ever, on the face of the planet, could be pregnant. Lots of women have lots of babies. Peyton having a baby in no way affects Brooke having a baby.

Funny thing is, if Faley was pregnant, I don't think anyone would be accusing her of stealing Brooke's dream.

I don't get the purpose at all of bringing Chase back. Will him and Brooke have any involvement with each other? Did we really need anyone to replace Owen? We get a decent character like Derek back for barely two episodes but characters like Mia and Chase have storylines that cover multiple episodes?

I'm not so sure that Brooke and Julian won't last at least a little while. Their "date" or whatever this is in 614 seems to go well and they are still interacting in 617 as we had filming reports of S/A filming together. I guess B/J depends on what the plan is with Julian/Austin as far as his future on the show.

Maybe Julian's purpose is to show Brooke that Owen is really the guy for her.

As in, Julian seems nice for a while etc but then he screws up or something and Owen is there to pick up the pieces. Basically, Owen can be there for Brooke and redeem himself a bit.
