Yes, he does give flowers to each girl. The only reason I personally believed that he had called Peyton before was because I knew that he woke up just as the dream was ending and the Peyton reveal happened.

I wonder if he willl mention the dream at all. It's so silly that he falls asleep, unless he does say later that he was convinced she wasn't coming. No matter, I guess. It's just for Mark to show his cool dream.

I think Lucas first calls Peyton and asks her to meet him at the airport and to marry him. Maybe he leaves a message on her voicemail, so she doesn't get his proposal until later. Meanwhile, Lucas falls asleep and starts dreaming about his married life with each girls. I suppose these dreams will show he chooses Peyton over the other two girls as well. Plus, Peyton would need some time to go home and pack her bag, right? (I wonder if B. is at home, if so, she'd tell her why she is leaving and where is she going). Maybe, Peyton tries to call him but he can't hear the phone ringing, which is why he doesn't know if he made the right choice or not in his dream and in reality, until he wakes up and sees her there in front of him.

I don't know if that's how it will play out but reading the dialogue and Lucas' "then why did you come?" makes me think he doesn't get an answer and doesn't know if she will show up until he actually sees her at the airport. Plus, this could explain Gus' "Looks like you made the right choice" line, to further clarify a point. It's HER. Period.

I agree. Based on the dialogue between L/P once she gets to the airport really does make it seem like Lucas didn't actually talk to her when he called and asked her about Vegas and getting married. The only way what they say to each other would make sense if they did actually talk to each other on the phone is if Peyton said something to him like "I have to think about it" but that really wouldn't make sense to me.

Maybe 601 starts off with Lucas calling a girl and it is shown that he is leaving a message, so he doesn't know if whoever it is will get it and if they will show up. He could have a small convo about his situation with "Gus", then he dozes off, has his dream and then wakes up to reveal that it is Peyton.

"Gus" could overhear him leaving that message, ask him what is going on and Lucas fills him in. One could say something to the other like "well, you will know if you made the right choice if she shows up", something like that. Then the line from "Gus" about "looks like you made the right choice" makes even more sense.

I think it's necessary that Lucas has a dream about Peyton. If he's dreaming about two other people, and then she just shows up...it won't have the same affect. It should be reiterated that she is in his subconscious. But we're pretty sure Peyton is in one of his dreams, right?

I think he will have a dream with all three girls. I just think that the B/L dream was filmed out in the open very much on purpose.

Yes, I was wondering this as well. It would look very strange if he had a dream about the other two girls and not Peyton. But we haven't really heard anything about the dream sequence for Lindsey either so I suspect it's them purposely shooting the B/L scene outside for people to see since the airport scene was public

To me that was evident on the very day of the filming. That's why I called it a "fake" scene. "Fake", I used in a very different sense from it's literal meaning. The accounts of the extras, the circumstances, everything pointed to this scene being a manipulation. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be used in the actual episode. I'm sure it will feature in the promos.

Grace, I agree. Lucas' dreams about the other two girls and Peyton are necessary in order to imply that she is "the one" he picks in his dreams and also to show that this time he has stopped aspiring or just lacking in conviction and he finally followed his own biggest dream up with his previous actions, i.e. calling her and asking her to marry him and then wait for her at the airport, very likely unaware of her answer yet holding onto the belief she will show up (this could mirror the book signing in LA somehow; then, he knew she was coming but she didn't show herself up in front of him and we all know how "devastating" that decision has been to their lives as a couple). This time around, once Peyton will show up and he will see her among the crowd, they both will "undo" some of their "mistakes" and will achieve thier greatest triumph. It'll be also like "it's you" 2.0 but now there will be a whole new level of awareness and understanding and recognition far greater than the people around them (and the viewers) can only grasp and accept.

Btw, let me just tell you that both of your new icons are very beautiful to stare at

Rightly guessed though you have, I'm still confused as to what Mark wants to do here. He is telling the story of an "epic" love for 5 years. They can't live without each other. Whatever relationship they get into, fails because they pine and yearn for each other. And yet he has to bring in the "choice" factor. What kind of viewers does he think are watching? Even if he didn't show these dreams and made Lucas "choose", even if he had just made Lucas call Peyton and made her come to the airport, we would have still understood that was the choice he made. We are not fools watching here. I don't know why Mark doesn't take just one route and stick to it. If he's showing "epic" love, fine we got the point. If he's showing that Lucas still has to "choose" b/w different girls, fine show that, but don't mix it with the epic love story. Because that simply dampens the effect of what he's been trying to show for 5 seasons. "Epic" love on TV almost always means that the people involved are the "choices" for each other. Now he has just turned it into one big mess.

I still think that this dream is just to further drive the supposed suspense of who Lucas called and recapping how 518 left off. And it also was the perfect opportunity to throw a wrench in everyones speculation, to those that don't know that what C/S filmed was a dream sequence. Again, Mark is giving himself and this show way too much credit to think he has do all of this to trick people. He knew that the news about Michaela would get out, he probably knew the L/P airport scene would get out. Without that B/L scene getting out, it would be very cut and dry. Mark seems overly paranoid with spoilers and the internet fanbase. He thinks he has a found a way to satisfy everyone and keep everyone guessing.

And this way the network has new footage of each couple to throw into the promos for the premiere.

Which is really confusing when someone does post conflicting report. But It has to be before he falls asleep because the whole waking up while Peyton walks up to him and then Gus says his line doesn't make sense if it's before the call.

It doesn't seem like Lucas does get answer when he calls her or didn't talk to her. So he's there waiting for her thinking if she would show up, and I guess falls asleep dream these lame dreams, then when he wakes realize that he did make the right choice or sees that she did actually showed up.

In my eyes, Mark made his "choice" since the day he came up with the idea of this series in his own mind, even before the start of the show. And of course, Lucas as well. Lol. Yet, sometimes it was clear, sometimes less, but it's always been there.

That said, in s6, Lucas will make (again!) his "choice" before to have his "dreams". Those dreams are "vague" and "there" mostly for the hardcore shippers (not LPers). It's always something to look forward to for them and to stare at when they will box their fave couple in their pretty icons or when they will buy their s6 dvd box.
