IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE - Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) receives an unlikely visitor -- his supposedly dead Uncle Keith (guest star Craig Sheffer). Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) life and the life of her unborn child are threatened when she experiences serious complications with her pregnancy and Nathan (James Lafferty) wrestles with the guilt and consequences of his dealings with Daunte (guest star Rick Fox, "Oz"). • Lucas will be forced to choose between Nathan and his love of basketball. Peyton will get to know her real half-brother, a non-psycho Derek. In the aftermath of the Derek situation, Lucas' concern for Peyton's well - being is taken to a whole new level. He feels a need to protect her always, and he does so by having her stay with him for a while, at least have her spend the nights with him at his house. Peyton on the other hand will do everything she can to shut people out, even Lucas, for a brief period. She will try to put up a wall as she did in the past. However, Lucas is not going to let Peyton push him away. Despite Peyton's best inentions, Lucas and her grow much closer together. As Peyton tries to freeze him out, Lucas' realization of his true feelings for Peyton become more evident and clear to him.

I'm not saying this because I'm not a Leyton shipper - trust me - but doesn't those spoilers seem kind of...extremely cheesy? And already done somehow?

If it's gonna be LP, I think it should be made a bit more realistic and original. <--Like something's ever original and new on OTH.

Well, it's cheesy in the way that Peyton shuts everyone out. She becomes broody. And Lucas, as usual, wants to save her and protect her and wants to be let in.
That has also been done, like in season 1 and season 2. Though in season 1 he wanted to be with her and in season 2 he wanted to be her friend.

Almost every scene Lucas has been in this far has been with Peyton, which is fine, but doesn't it seem rushed? I think it would've been better to slow it down and maybe get them together later on in the season.

One thing I like about everything is that Peyton never tells Lucas how she feels, he figures it out on his own. I think that's kind of cool.

but that's what Lucas and Peyton are. Peyton is always afraid to be hurted, to lose the persons she loves and it's part of her character to shuts down people when she's afraid. the same goes for Lucas: it's part of him to always be there for the persons he loves. and it's definitely a big part of him the fact he wants and needs to be there for Peyton. they wouldn't be Lucas and Peyton anymore if they weren't so. people change, but the basis is always the same. what's between Lucas and Peyton has always been there and has always been pictured in that way. if now things would happen in a totally different way, that wouldn't be anymore LP. and it would have no sense.

if those spoilers are real, as I think, it looks to me like LP is happening in a good, realistic and meaningful way as all of the other things ever happened between them.
Mark and the other writers have pitcured all the characters in a specific way. you know what to expect from each character in some way, because you know who they are and what is inside themselves. their characteristics lead each character to act in a specific way. it couldn't be different. if it was different, than the characters would be betrayed in some way. I'm not sure I could explain what I mean with my poor english. I hope so

It doesn't seem rushed, especially after what happened with the fake Derek storyline. This is the kind of situation that brings people together. And if Lucas is single and has feelings for Peyton why should he wait ??

But that's my point.

They made BL break up in the very first episode and Lucas gave up on Brooke very quickly. Then LP instantly starts to hang out even though they didn't at all have many scenes last season.
And then Lucas comes to save Peyton in episode 5, and then he will realize he has feelings for her.

It's been 5 episodes so far, I do think it seems rushed..I'm not saying LP is rushing in their friendship/relationship, I'm saying Mark is rushing for LP to get together.

I don't think it's rushed. people forget that Lucas and Peyton have been having that deep connection since S1. it's 3 years in OTH time, right? it doesn't matter the number of scenes they have been in together, it doesn't matter how much time the 2 characters have spent together. they have a connection, they have always had that. also in S2, when they were kinda separated for the whole season, the scenes they had were deep and meaningful. time is not an element in their relation. it has never been, in my opinion. Lucas has given up on Brooke quickly? it's not like she acted in a way that helped him to have regrets for losing her. and the truth is the Brooke has never been in Lucas heart as Peyton. a short separation creates difficulties in BL relationship because they never had any deep connection. but for Lucas and Peyton it's different. they can be separated for long time, but when they are together again, everything is still there again. I think LP supporters can see that, have always seen that, also when BL were together.
Mark is not rushing things. he is finally giving us something that has been being built up since S1. Peyton has realized she still has feelings for Lucas. Lucas is single, he feels that his relationship with Brooke is really over, as he himself said. we all know and can see Peyton has always been in his heart in some way. so I really can't see what Mark should wait for to give LP a chance
