The network has ordered either 22 or 23 episodes for season six.

An anonymous source stated that she only knew of one episode for sure with Lindsey, and that was the premiere.

I'm taking the NYDN thing with a grain of salt until someone can back it up with specific scenes. If it's true. then that will be a good surprise.

I agree. I mean it wouldn't come totally out of the blue. We know that Hil said she'd be making out a lot so it would fit. But I wouldn't get too excited yet.

I added one thing. Is there anything else? I can't see anything else that isn't in the spoiler thread from the spoilers board. Maybe I'm going blind, if anything else needs adding let me know.

It's probably like one kissing scene and nothing more. Let's face it, Mark doesn't write love scenes very often, so why would he start now? He didn't even give LP a decent first time for them. It's ironic, because a lot of people see OTH as this teen romantic drama, but if you really look at it, there's pretty much no romance on the show at all. Brooke kissed no one last season. Peyton was in angst last season over Lucas. That's not romantic. NH? Well, that's a given. Nothing there. The last romance on the show was probably the few episodes with KK (gag).

I'd say Peyton's love confessions to Lucas in 409 and 507 were pretty romantic and 505 when Lucas proposed. Those moments were typical romance saga type moments. That's very few in a whole season though.

I can see LP kissing, maybe we'll even see them in bed. I highly doubt we'll get some steemy sex scene though. It just doesn't sound like this show at all. For some reason the steamiest scenes seem to be the ones that get interrupted and usually show more than the supposed sex scenes. Kinda weird really.

I'm just interested in seeing LP together, maybe having chance to smile, work through their problems and maybe kiss a little. The rest I'm not bothered by in the slightest.

Paul it's the trifecta spoiler that is missing. I was just counting the smilies on both OPs that's why I even mentioned it .

I'll agree with you on 5.05. That had some romance. But it is weird how this show rolls. We basically see characters wanting each other and then they're together. This was one of my biggest complaints about LL last season. We saw absolutely zilcho as far as why they were together. So, of course, I had no reason to care about them. Then Mark relied on the "chemistry" between MM and CMM to sell them? Um, no, that doesn't work in my book.

It's funny how CCIPC is still the best scene in that regard. Then there is 414 where they are doing well but that too gets interrupted. Twice even.

Honeygrove just can't compare. It was romantic alright but it lacked the passion of the other scenes :[

Well it didn't help that it was a chemistry no one else saw, but it wasn't good enough anyway. No audience will care about a new character in s5 and we just had no reason to believe in them. The turn around to where he fought for Lindsey between 513 and 518 was an idiot writing move, it was the very thing no one wanted to see. LP had enough drama to keep them apart on their own without anyone else in the mix. We saw nothing of LL and the few times they were tested Lucas always did something which showed he would betray Lindsey for Peyton, even if it was a few seconds when he let his walls down. Early s5 was actually going ok showing that, it was 513 onwards that made no sense for me. Selling LL as the comfortable relationship that's safe and Lucas has been in a while was fine, selling them as something that drove Lucas nuts when he lost her was not.

I do find it interesting if I was to look at Mark's angle though, that in 505 when he lost Peyton Lucas sobbed and just didn't have a clue what to do. After Lindsey left he just got angry. I guess you could say Mark is showing Lucas' anger more at having no one and Peyton leaving him, his other relationship failing and believing maybe he'll never be loved like that again or have a family, because he believed Peyton was no longer an option really. I still think he thought that up until 518. That "My Dream" scene was very powerful. Still most of the stuff from 513-517 was so poor that it showed pretty much nothing, it'd have been better off not existing.

Well, I'm not a fan of 5.18 either, and I know a lot of LP fans are, so I won't comment too much on that. I thought 13-18 contained some of the worst writing and acting I ever witnessed on any drama. Season two looked like Peabody Award winning material in comparison.

I'm not sure there's any way LL could have been believable in my eyes, because the chemistry wasn't there and Lindsey was incredibly bland and lifeless with no background and personality. The writers did the same thing with Chase/Brooke. But I actually thought Sophia and Stephen had some chemistry.

The only way I could see caring about Lindsey would have been if she were one of Haley's older sisters. Then, at least we could have seen some connection with the others, and it would have explained why Haley was protective of her. It wouldn't have been so awkward to see Lindsey interact with the characters already in place. As it is, Lindsey coming from NY for Jamie's birthday party was just idiotic.

It's amazing how much more we care about characters who are introduced as having connections to other regular characters: Larry, Derek, Victoria, Ellie. The ones that just show up out of nowhere are pretty dead on arrival.
