Do you think that anyone else will know about her usage of drugs. For now it's just like 4 people knowing right? It's a hard concept to grasp. Hopefully an adult will find out and help her through. Either Karen or Larry. She needs a parental to up her a bit.

I think someone older really needs to help her. Karen has already been the mother type to her lately. Watching out for her and supporting her about the club idea. I just wished there were more scenes between the two. As much as I want her to hook up with someone right now I just want her to find her self. Not that she's lost... I just want her to look within herself to see that she isn't weak like she said. Okay it's kind of late I don't know if I'm making sense.

(Karen is in the ladies, touching her hair up in front of the mirror. Peyton walks in.)

KAREN: (Spotting her.) Peyton!

(Peyton stops and turns to her.)

KAREN: (Sees Peyton’s expression.) Oh no. Bad night?

PEYTON: (Obviously sad.) No, um… I’m OK. It’s just…

KAREN: Not exactly a ‘Dream Come True’?

PEYTON: (Smiles and all but whispers.) Yeah.

KAREN: (Smiles) Well it could be worse. My Formal, I went with Dan(!) (Laughs) (Peyton smiles tearfully.) Well there’s a smile. (Peyton nods, almost crying.) Now come on, get out there and have some fun. You… (Looks down.) can’t let a stunning dress like that go to waste.

PEYTON: (Looks down.) Thanks, it was my mom’s.

(Karen looks at her, lost for words. Peyton is on the verge of crying her heart out and Karen finally realises. Karen gasps.)

KAREN: (Hugs her, whispering) Oh Peyton(!) Oh(!)

(Peyton hugs her.)

KAREN: You know. (Lets go of Peyton.) I don’t know what it’s like to have a daughter… but I do know what it’s like to be a mother and… yours would be so proud of the woman you’ve become. (Puts a hand to her cheek. Peyton cries a little.) Oh, I didn’t mean to go make you sad. (Wipes a tear off her cheek.)

PEYTON: No, no. Um… I’m gonna be fine. (Nods and sniffs.)

KAREN: I know you are. (Peyton looks at Karen with very red eyes.) (Sincerely) I know you are.

(Peyton smiles and looks down. Karen leaves the toilets.)

You know, I really would like to be Karen that finds out and help her. Even though I know Peyton needs her father, she needs her mother more since she's not around anymore. Karen is like a mother figure to her and I think that she would be a lot grateful to just hear some words from her. The scene in the bathroom really shows how Karen would care if she finds out and how Peyton enjoys her words. Did I made sense?

ITA I think I would like Karen to know first too. Not like Larry shouldn't know, but just like you said, I think ia mother figure would be nice to consult about that type of thing....esp as a girl. (not like Larry isn't approachable) just think it would be good that way...ok now did that make sense lol

I think the Karen will help anyway she can. I just find it a little funny that no one has bothered to try and get a hold of Larry. If I was Lucas I would have called Larry instead of Jake (no offesnse to Jeyton fans) I think that Peyton needs her dad more than anything but I am glad Peyton has Karen.
