Well I know the three of them didn't interact in season 1 much except for 106 and then maybe 117 at the classic. Because Haley was not fond of Brooke.

In season 2 Haley was gone in the 2nd half, and even in 208 Anna was there too.

There really wasn't a ton of moments it seems.

Yer they got split into two either hayley/peytin season 1 , brooke / peyton season 1
Season 2 peyton/brooke than hayley /brooke but not all 3

for me this is how i see it:

in terms of how the show portrayed it....

season 1: BP > PH >>>>> BH (BP were lifelong best friends, PH became really close friends, BH were sort of "enemies" at first and then began to tolerate one another)

season 2: BP > PH > BH (BP best friends, PH good friends, BH starting to get closer and were friends)

season 3: BP/BH > PH (BP and BH had lots of interactions, seemed almost equal closeness but BP had the edge a tiny bit because they were still considered the "best friends" of the trio. PH had that whole issue at the start, and then were friends again later but didnt interact much)

season 4: BH > PH > BP (BH were pretty close, PH had some friend scenes but not a whole lot, BP obviously werent friends anymore until the end of the season)

season 5: BP > PH > BH (BP were besties again, PH had some good friend scenes together near the end, BH rarely interacted this season from what I remember?)

season 6: BP > PH > BH (BP besties, PH close friends and lots if interactions this season, BH again barely interacted.)

and then obviously 7-9 were BH focused because P wasnt around but BH were really not that close in season 7 or 9 to my knowledge. I dont remember an overwhelming amount of scenes but they did have some good scenes in season 8.

So if we are looking at the seasons Peyton was around, BP were clearly the closest, followed by PH, and then BH. But if we're looking at the whole series then BH def. would overtake PH by default.

I think Brooke was always meant to be seen as Peyton's best friend, but imo, especially when they were teenagers, Haley was a better friend to Peyton that Brooke was, even if they weren't as close.

yeah i think I agree with that, especially season 1. Haley was so supportive of her and vice versa.

Yep Haley was always more accepting/understanding. As a teenager, Brooke was a little (okay, a lot) more selfish.

she was but i think deep down she had a heart which is why peyton loved her so much. it seemed that brooke was there for her during her moms death which is sweet.

this i agree with this is why i loved brooke her heart was very very big and she was there for Peyton .. teh great thing about their friendship were they were complete opposites yet they were best friends .. were as Hayley and peyton were similar that the freindship they had.. but later on we had brooke/rachel who were very simialr

yeah thats a good point, and opposites do attract so it makes sense.

my old best friend reminded me a lot of brooke actually.

It was nice up until she used it against her. Teenage Brooke was always questionable as a friend to me. She was so much better as an adult.

Yeah agreed, she definitely wasn't an amazing friend in the high school years.

I wouldn't say she was an saint, but she definitely was an much better friend in the adult years.

Definitely not a saint, she just really grew up, and it was definitely needed.
