Then Lindsey and Haley forces him to admit he's still in love with Peyton and he goes ape**** and tries to ignore her. Dude looked like if he looked at her once he'd get set on fire or something. lol

I think Chad played that hospital scene well too. Like he's trying so hard not to look at her but he does and its all akward with Brooke in the middle

S5 Lucas should have never been written that way. It did only bad things for the character.

The way he acted in S5 you would have thought that Peyton insulted his momma or killed his pet or sumthin. Good God no wonder he was so happy to get Peyton married and tied down to him. If Peyton ever divorces him, he's headed for the place that has jackets that make you hug yourself

this is random, but I had noticed recently in 6x07, after lucas and peyton hold hands and then are like I'm hungry, I have to pee, lucas smiles back at peyton when they're getting up- so adorable!!

and I just finished watching season 5 again, I've moved past most of lucas's crap, but it still bothers me, in that episode with brooke and the baby, she was getting stuff from haley's house, and lucas and peyton take a walk, that look he gives her after she says she hopes it'll be ok with him and lindsey, what was that? there needs to be subtitles to explain all of his looks...

Mark would probably say that added light and shade. But we know what we saw and it wasn't what any fan of Lucas ever would have wanted for his character.

You're absolutely right. Look at Peyton hiding the Julian relationship for several weeks. There was like jealousy on Luke's side, but he never was angry at Peyton for not telling him. I thought that was so telling of their relationship.

Mark added light and shades to Lucas when he stayed with Brooke after what Peyton said in 108 then he cheated on Brooke with Peyton then he slept with Nikki. This S5 Lucas is way worse then poodle hair having Peyton in S2 if you ask me.

For me I think Lucas just realized its an old relationship and that he of all people cannot be getting jealous lol for once I liked a BL scene where Brooke said that to him.

Poodle hair Peyton was just unrecognizable. There were no shades to her.

As far as season five Lucas, he just acted like a child for the most part. That is why it was good that Peyton didn't accept his proposal. He was too immature to be married at 19.

Brooke was right about JP in that scene. But, it was funny how you never saw Lucas say to Peyton, "why didn't you tell me sooner?" I was glad he didn't honestly.

There's no way Brooke should have had to remind him about that though lol. I thought that was kind of redic.

Honestly Mark knew what he was doing by not giving Peyton a love interest in S5 or even a male acquiantance. His insistence on making Lucas so opaque is one of the biggest WTF decisions he's made regarding this show.

Lucas has always been the typical spoiled only child to me. the problem is, he normally gets what he wants when he wants it, so there's no reason for him to pitch fits over it. in s5, he finally didn't get what he wanted and he went apeshyt.

Actually I've never really scene Lucas like that. I've always viewed him as a pretty selfless character - at least before 5.08 err 5.12. But really he had always put her first.

That's why I can't stand Luke post 5.07. Cause he was just so different. And I guess it was because I was so used to him being this amazing character. Because that was who he was most of the time - give or take some flaws. And I did sympathize with him during the whole first half of S5, but by 5.12 he's supposed to give in and give his precious Peyton whatever she wants cause she deserves it, lol.
