Might as well post this here too..

First of all congrats to Michelle on her debut. Is this really your first episode? Like many have already said, this episode was a breath of fresh air. It was refreshing to watch a stress-free episode, filled with laughter, giggles, and love. The norm in TH is drama. There's always drama going on, kinda like the lives of Lucas and Peyton. In fact, that's what they've been used to for a really long time. So when good things start to happen, they question it. Same goes for LPers. We're so scarred, we still can't believe LP is a couple ... "Finally" .. to borrow from Karen in tonight's episode.

So much to say about this episode. So forgive me if I'm all over the place.

Lucas' beginning v/o:

I love this because it was a throwback to one of PEyton's podcast from last season. Bad is what they are used to. Chaos. Pain. Sadness. Happiness is a foreign place. What else do I love about this? Well, it solidifies that this unfamiliar feeling of happines they have only found with each other No one else has made them feel this way. So thank you for clarifying that for all of us.

I absolutely loved the "mirror" shot of LP in the opening scene. Her smile, her glow - they said it all, what she was feeling right at that moment. Thumbs up to Moira for executing that scene. Love the montage of her previous artwork - which was her journal of all the bad stuff that has happened in her life. But then it ends with "Now we can have it" which I was very happy to see again Because now they really can have it...they have it. And I adore that hug Lucas gave her, when he pulled her closer to him by pulling her shoulders close to him that eventually lifter her up. My one complaint about that scene was "blondie." NO..just NO. I prefer "curly" if she must be given a nickname. And yes "Peyt" works just fine too.

LP are on their honeymoon stage. They can finally embrace the idea of coupledom. It's no longer platonic. And this time they can be open about their feelings and affection for each other in front of other people. I have always imagine LP passing notes to each other in class ever since the Peyton box surface in 2.21. We knew LP exchanged little notes with each other, and to see that in action was just priceless. Many times in this episode, Michelle showed us LP as the couple, and LP as friends. After Peyton kissed Lucas and said "So worth it," Lucas smiled and he gave her this little pat on her leg (I'm assuming since we didn't see where his had landed), and you know I loved that. I do that with my guy friends all the time. It was playful, it was so "buddy buddy" to me.

The music scene also showcased this dichotomy in my opinion. It reminded me of their Itunes scene in 4.01. He mocks her the "music genius" to name that tune (LOL) and she proudly obliges cue in shameless plugging LOL. Music has always been a safe haven for them. It has been something that always connected them as FRIENDS. So I'm glad that is still there and will always be there. So in this scene Lucas notices that Peyton is happy - she is glowing and smiling. How can you not notice? Suddenly everything just seemed much better. And as much as probably it came across as cheesy to some people, I hate to break it you guys but when you're in love that's kind of the way it is LOL. When you have that person with you, the glass becomes half full, so much so because they complete each other. Love, being in love can do wonders to your psyche. So in this scene it started out with that friendly banter as if they're just friends, and ended with them as a couple. And you know Ellie was right when she said that to have a friend you're in love with is the greatest benefit. You get the best of both worlds. And Lucas and Peyton have that.

Graveyard scene - EEEEEEK. Someone has been lurking because we have wanted this one for a really long time. THANK YOU MICHELLE. I've said it before no one understands the pain and the grief of losing someone, especially a parent but Peyton. So naturally, it is her who is helping Lucas with trying to process his grief and the questions and revelations his dream with Keith had given him. This is just perfect. And I have pictured Peyton talking to her mom just like that. She's been talking about him - this boy - who finally made her smile. I can't help but think its the same way Lucas talked to Karen about Peyton - this girl whom he has had the biggest crush on for YEARS. I just love this parallel. I love it like A LOT. Oh and thank for the forehead kiss.

I always love worried Lucas He's adorable. I don't know what I expected of the "Resolve" scene (for you unspoiled people its when Lucas asks Peyton for help to be happy). I didn't expect it to stem from Peyton burning cookies LOL. But I appreciate the simplicity of the scene. The last thing Lucas wants to happen is for Peyton to be in trouble, so naturally seeing smoke in her house worried him. It was like "Oh no not again." I think Lucas at that point resigned to the fact that it isn't always gonna be perfect, but he wants to be happy. He wants to enjoy the present. He just wants to be able to let go of everything and there is no better way of reaching that point than getting there with Peyton - the other chaos junkie. Yes there will be pain, there will be sadness, but its ok as long as you have each other. That's what matters in the end. Someone is out there who will help you in times of darkness

Finally the cookie dough scene. GAWD. It is just so effortless with these two. Chad and Hilarie have such ease with each other and you can see it with scenes like this one. The bantering. The flirting. The kissing. The licking of dough of her shoulder. THE TONGUE. TONGUE! Yes I saw tongue. Do I thank Moira or Michelle for that?

His ending v/o:

I think the part that referred to LP was the first part right? Happiness comes in many forms... Good lord they were covered with cookie dough and flour and yet at that moment you can tell they're very happy. 100% happy. After all that they've been through, its nice to see them just be teenagers. Be little kids getting all messy and dirty. That's what they should be doing in the first place.

"because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be...." pans to Dan...and his face said it all. I am intrigued at what this will do to his relationship with Lucas. God knows he tried to choke him to death once.

NH were adorable tonight. Haley's "hot stuff" had me cracking up. And James..poor James had to dance. He looked uncomfortable. But then again Nathan was supposed to feel that way too I guess. Skills/Peyton *sigh* "That's my girl" teehee.... yes they MAKE SENSE as a couple..they just do..thanks for confirming that for us And I just had to comment on Stephen. He exceeded my expectations tonight. I didn't see him as the boy from Laguna Beach at all. And I see some sparks there between Chase/Brooke. I still don't like Brooke. I never will, but it is quite obvious that she is very smitten by him.

I don't know if I covered everything but I just really wanted to congratulate Michelle on a job well done. Great episode

omfg!!! those caps that were posted.... thank you so much. i havent seen those scnes yet. my favorite is when lucas kisses/licks her shoulder. he does it so seductively. omfg. its the hottest thing ever and my new favorite scene

Thought I'd post these to tide over those who haven't seen the episode yet. Sorry they're not very good quality they're from my cell phone. I'd do some videos clips but it's 2:30 a.m. and it's been a long but very happily ended day.












I think we got enough LPness to get us through the week off...not that there's a such thing as enough LP.
