He was married to Peyton and left her for Brooke who he pined over their whole marriage. Just to realize he was actually in love with Peyton and then she was moving on with Jake who she didn't really love either.

It was the worst! The PH friendship in it was great though.

And I forgot that Peyton died in Wasteland. Just when you thought that fic couldn't get sadder, it did.

That was Journey, omg the worst! But it was popular in the fandom, I do recall that.

Dude, I was devastated!! I cried so much reading that fic but I adored it.

It is extremely OOC for Lucas to leave Peyton with five freaking kids. It's gross. A Brucas fan must've written that mess.

I'm not sure either. I can barely get through fics that have LP paired off with someone else when the premise isn't even that horrible.

I just prefer conflict that has to do with personality differences or circumstances rather than having feelings for someone outside the relationship or something like that. It gets old and tiring fast. And there are many more stories writers could tell that would resonate with people.
