Highly recommend!!!! I'm thinking of getting a copy for myself, from bookshop. I read it initially as an ebook that I checked out from the library.

It's totally unlike the celebrity memoirs I've read before. Really whimsical, deep, thoughful, and not at all shallow.

That's great that you enjoyed it so much! I was supposed to meet her on her book tour but it was canceled because of covid.

She did like a virtual signing thing but it was basically just her signing the books. It would’ve been cool if she’d actually done like a reading or something.

Yeah, I agree. There are some really good chapters that would be great for a reading. I won't tell you. But, there was one point when I went from crying to laughing in like a few minutes. She really played at my heart strings.

I'm terrible at giving descriptions, but there's a scene in the book where JDM's dog, Bisou, (whom he had before he met Hilarie), passed away. It was really sad. But, then, Gus, said something about renaming the dandelions on their farm property, Bisoulions. And the way she described Gus and his ability to cope and his whimsy and his nicknaming of the flowers in honor of Bisou, made me go from crying for Bisou to laughing and appreciating the sweetness of Gus. I read the book at the beginning of the pandemic, and time is over my head at this point, so is memory, so I don't remember exactly how the scene goes, but it was so sweet.

So, is the one where both Hilarie and JDM realize they both randomly wanted to name their daughter George. They had gone through so many names that didn't fit, and Hilarie just goes: Let's name her George! And JDM was like, I was thinking the same thing! Haha.

I hope y'all enjoy it once you get to read it.
