Especially when they have a history/relationship with all the characters like Peyton did.

I think that's how it is when most characters leave a show.

i was devastated when they first left but after rewatching i was okay with it. seasos 6-8 imo were pretty slow most of the time so it was good they left and were happy together and completed that story. it felt complete to me.
and now i can watch seasons 7-9 with no stress worrying if my OTP will end together. the show cant really ruin that, if that makes sense. __________________

^ I know that feeling. That's one part of fandom that can be stressful. Like, "my OTP is happy, when are they going to throw a wrench in their happiness"?

^ Same here. That and Peyton was my favorite and the only reason I really watched the last two seasons.

I only felt that way about Peyton in s2. She was just written differently that season and I didn't enjoy a lot of her scenes. But I got over that. Lucas though...definitely had his moments.

I gotta agree, I didn't love Peyton in season 2. Of course i ALWAYS love her, but things were off and it felt so weird without that LP connection.
Season 6 was just bad imo, so much about it that I didn't like. It was just slow. I actually think season 7 is better as whole, but season 6 had LP so I am a bit torn to say which is better. Season 8, horrendous. I almost quit watching but I stuck through it. I really enjoyed season 9 though. |

My biggest issue with s6 is the lack of Peyton and Lucas overall and the new characters getting the bulk of the screentime. That aside, I did like aspects of s6 but not as much as previous seasons. I like it a lot more than s2 though. At least Peyton's characterization made sense to me in s6 unlike s2. I just wanted more of her.

In general i thought all the characters were too split up. As much as I love LP I wanted to see them interact with other characters. I thought the first few episodes were good, and there were some random episodes that I really enjoyed but for the most part I just felt it was kind of a blah season that didn't have a lot of focus? The LP baby storyline was awesome but one of the few I liked that season. I liked eason 2 a lot. Obviously there were things i hated about it it too but there were a lot of great storylines. For me it goes: Season 1 Season 3 Season 5 Season 9 Season 4 Season 2 Season 7 Season 6 Season 8 But in terms of LP it would be 1, 5, 3, 6, 4, 2... i prefer angst over fluff personally. |
