Oh wow ok Lucas just was to much this is season 2 onwards he tried to much to be the good guy and it was very forceful at times .. with peyton with hayley

I don't think Lucas was forceful, if anything he was too passive at times lol. Nathan owns Lucas in the cheesy lines department lol.

Maybe passive is a better word i couldnt really find a right word .. maybe nathan did but i think with me it just annoyed me when Lucas said it .. but you are right nathan did have bad lines .. maybe it was just the writing

There were times Nathan was my favorite as well, but I liked Lucas too. I just didn't enjoy his relationship with Brooke so I tended to like Nathan more in those seasons.

Yeah, Nathan always come off to me in the later seasons if it didn't involve his family, he ever really went out of his way to help imo. I didn't like BL either

and while it did add some drama to the show, it would have been much better for Luke's character if they didn't go back to BL in S2.

I agree that Lucas got boring after season 1. I found the boys really uninteresting compared to the girls. lol. However, I still found Lucas' storylines more interesting than Nathans.

I just wish Nathan had any other storyline than Haley or basketball. I really cant think of another storyline he had? I enjoyed him in season 9 because of the kidnapping plot and the rene plot in 7 was sort of interesting because she was a scammer, but other than that he was pretty dull to me.

Luke only bored me in parts of seasons 2 and 6, but he definitely should have more interesting storylines and no triangle ones lol. They should have developed more friendships with Nathan and give him another hobby outside of basketball.

Lucas was actually interesting to me in early s2 and I didn't mind his relationship with Anna. I only got confused by him when he had feelings with Brooke all of a sudden. But that's neither here nor there.

Lets get back to NP.

Any favorite scenes?

A lot of people were confused by his sudden and deep feelings for Brooke too

Probably from 1.18 or 4.13, since they were my two favourite episodes from NP.

Same, come to think of it. But with me it has everything to do with how much I can't stomach Brooke and BL (she drags him down with her) and not much to do with enjoying Nathan himself, lol.

Lucas was passive in some departments, sometimes. But he generally had more life energy than Nathan imo. There was something so lifeless, dumb and dull about Nathan for me. I don't hate him though. I just find him more pitiable (the jerk phase) or sympathetic (the non-jerk phase) than interesting.

Re: fave NP scenes. Like them in 1.18 too. Also that late s3 scene where he picks her up. It's just so nice to see him be there for her after he wasn't in s1 in the same situation. Also, that little talk they had during the party in 4.something. It's in the gif in the op.

Going back to BL in S2/3 dragged down both characters and it sucks for Luke since S3 would have been an amazing season for him since it was pretty likeable imo with pretty much every scene with shared with anyone who wasn't Brooke.

Both, combined with my dislike of the poor little dumb, mean rich jock trope. But, while I like neither the writing or acting for Nathan, I'm grateful to both the writers and James for at least not making Nathan too smug and sleazy. I would have positively hated him if he was like that. Idk what exactly would have made him more interesting to me. A different, less cliche and more human take on the trope probably. I wish he was more like Felicity's Ben (similar trope [minus the rich and mean part], much, much better take, I love Ben). Lol the more i remember this show th3 different twke i have on each character's..

For me lucas was the worst after season 2 i just didnt really cwre season 6 was cute when he was with peyton.. him beinf with brooke didnt annoy me it was him by himself .

Brooke was my fav followed by peyton .. i felt brooke was one of the few characters who actually grew within the show ..

Now i wish we had more peyt9n nwthan scenws it was a friendship that was robbed from us
