I also found it funny that Luke wanted some time apart from his 'fun' relationship with Brooke.

I guess he liked Brooke, but felt he had more things in common with Peyton. :shrug:

He didn't really like her in S1 though, he was just with her because she was no risk whatsoever compared to Peyton. Same thing could be said for S3 as well, since while he did love her, I have an extremely tough time believing that he would have gone back to Brooke if Peyton was available to him.

I guess. It was obvious Peyton was his first choice.

His actions in S3 showed that. What was going on off-screen at the time definitely played an part as well.

1x11 showed how much LP connected. That scene where he gave her the CD, knowing it was hers, and sat there to read while she drew was so amazing. They just got each other on a different level and they didn't need to talk to connect or be together. They were content just sharing space with each other.

Re: 3x17--it was nice to see Lucas let Peyton in when he wasn't really talking to anyone else. He knew she understood his pain like no one else (besides his mother) did. And they shared a traumatic experience together which bonded them even more than before. :nod:

Agreed about both of those eps. 1.11 is probably one of my fave eps for LP. And their scene in 3.17 is about the only thing I cared about and liked in that ep.
