RORY FACES THE REALITIES OF THE WORKING WORLD - Rory (Alexis Bledel) is surprised by the performance review she receives from Logan's (Matt Czuchry) father, Mitchum Huntzberger (guest star Gregg Henry), at the newspaper. Luke's (Scott Patterson) plan to buy the Twickham house is threatened when Kirk (Sean Gunn) makes a competing bid. Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is thrilled when the travel magazine featuring The Dragonfly Inn hits the stands, but worries about Emily's (Kelly Bishop) reaction to the article. Meanwhile, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) goes into labor and Emily becomes a personal patron for a ballet dancer. The episode was written by Daniel Palladino and directed by Jamie Babbit (#2T5321).

I hate Daniel's version of comedy but to be fair to him he has done quite a good job at drama in the past. Kirk and Ballet Dancer will be wastes of time (that should otherwise be spent with the major characters) but I do hold out hope that the parts dealing with Lorelai and Rory due to their seriousness will be well done.

This Episode was amazing omg. LL sceans incredibale. RL seens not as good. I felt so sorry for rory at the way michem said that to her. Lorelai was so pretty when she told Rory she was't pregnate I think her hair when she has it like that maked her look so beautiful. I was dissipointed that luke did not stip and get in the towel like the other mean I was looking for to seeing that. Kirks body looks wierd every time I see him shirless it remins me of et. Lorelai hideing in the den was cute. The Lorelai Emily stuff was refreshing after lastweek. YAY for Sookie having a girl. I laughed my butt off when she broke the news to jackson that he was going to get a visectemy. His reaction priceless. Kirk the Millionare is kinds neat. I am still in shock over Rory being the one with the idea to steel the boat Logan is a bad infulence on her and I am not likeing it one bit. I want my seaon 1 innocent rory back.

great episode! i was sad with only two RL scenes but they were so cute. im so sad for Rory, that must have killed her when Mitchum said that to her. And damn the end scene with Lorelai was a total flashback to when Rory called her after her and Jess got into that accident.

That episode was insane. I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet, but it looks like this season is going to go out with a bang. It's amazing how far every character has come this year. I absolutely loved the Rory/Lorelai interaction in this episdoe. I was afraid that Lorelai wasn't going to tell Rory about the possible pregnancy, but it really showed how close they still are that they could share secrets like that. It was just very funny. I can't believe the season's already coming to an end.



P.S. I was checking out wireimage to see if any Gilmore Girls cast members went to the House of Wax premier to support Jared. Well, they didn't, but I have to say that even though Dean sucks, Jared Padalecki is one beautiful man. Part of me feels that he was the prettiest boy on the show. Man, if only Dean was cool.

I liked this episode.

It was cute to see how excited Rory was about her job. And how she looked to be so in control of everything and knowing everyone by name.

That's just why I don't understand Mitchum's comments. That Rory "don't got it"...What does he mean? That she wouldn't be able to handle stress? That she doesn't have the drive? Haven't we seen that she has just what it takes to be a journalist.

And her not saying anything at the meeting...I don't any intern (well, maybe Paris) would have said anything! I thought he was being really unfair towards Rory.
I felt so bad for her.

Do you guys think Mitchum had some hidden agenda about having Rory work at the paper? Or am I just paranoid?

About R/L...Liked the scene at the paper, how he wanted her to go with him. Cute! And funny how Logan said he could sense his father and started looking 'round all disgusted.

And Logans "They have you every Friday night, let me have one" was adorable.

Freaked out Rory was fun to see again. Her being all panicked when Sookie was goign to the hospital was funny. "I can't watch this!" and "I just really don't want to see what's coming 'round the mountain!"

I agree about Mitchum, Rory was doing such a good job im surprised he said she doesn;t have it. And yeah if i were an intern i wouldnt speak up in a room like that, its really not your place to do that yet. i know you need to be assertive but not when you dont even work there properly. stupid mitchums gut!

But do you guys think that he really meant it? That Rory doesn't have it? Or could this be his attempt to try and break up Rory and Logan? (Like I said, paranoid)
