I love the friendship between Rory and Lane. They seem to really understand and care for one another but at the same time try their best to be honest with one another.

Hopefully they will have some scenes in upcoming episodes.

LANE: That’s easy for you to say. You’ve already had sex with two different guys. All within a one year period.
RORY: Okay, you’re making me sound a little ****ty.
LANE: Well, why shouldn’t you be ****ty? You have absolutely no mother-taught morals standing in the way of you and your ****tiness.
RORY: Oh. Well, when you put it that way.
LANE: Is it great?
RORY: Is what great?
LANE: Sex! Is it great?
RORY: Not in front of the books, Lane.
LANE: What am I saying? It’s great. And I will never experience it because by the time I’m ready to get married all the men will have been taken by women who didn’t grow up in my household!

[Lane puts on her coat.]

RORY: Going out to find a husband?
LANE: I have to get extra trash bags for the diner.
RORY: All right. Call me later.

LANE: So, now I know.
RORY: Know what?
LANE: That it's bad. It's terrible… Sex.
RORY: Oh. No. Sex was bad?
LANE: You can drop the act, Rory. It's okay. I've known the real deal about Santa Claus for years. Now I know about sex.
RORY: Lane…
LANE: You know what's funny? I really thought my mother was being an insane prude when she said that sex was horrible for women. But now I can see that, in fact, my mother was the only woman who wasn't willing to maintain this ridiculous, pervasive, media-supported charade.
RORY: What ridiculous, pervasive, media-supported charade?
LANE: That sex is normal. That sex is a wonderful part of life. That sex is sexy. I mean, can we just not admit it? Sex is not sexy. Sex is horrible.
RORY: Sex doesn't have to be horrible.
LANE: In a way, I'm impressed with the depth of the conspiracy. If you think about it, it says something about the potential power of women that the entire gender could collude in creating the "sex is sexy" myth.
RORY: So sex with Zach was bad?
LANE: Unbelievably bad.
RORY: Every time?
LANE: [Chuckling] Yeah, right. Every time.
RORY: You only did it once.
LANE: That's right, and I'm out.
RORY: Well, the first time can be weird. My first time definitely had its weird aspects, but it gets better. It gets good.
LANE: Um, sorry. I just don't believe you.

I love their friendships, them not having so many scenes anymore is one of the things that sucks about Yale!!

I hope they have more scenes soon too, they have amusing and funny scenes!

I love Rory and Lane. They have such a great friendship. I've really missed their scenes lately. They should have more.

Hope I dont get kicked out of this thread for saying this. As much as I like Lane and her frienship with Rory, I cant help but be turned off by how she had nothing negative to say to Rory when she found out she slept with Dean. Yeah most of you are probably saying "that's old news", but as her friend she shouldve told her she was wrong instead of acting like it was ok. I love my best friend to death...if I was to do something like that I would want her to tell me...even if I know I would get angry.

I agree with them having more scenes though. I would like to see a scene between Lane, Paris, and Rory.

I agree, I was really surprised that Lane was happy for her. I know that if my best friend slept with a married guy, no matter who it was I wouldn't be excited for her.

That's true. I've actually been in a similar situation (well, the guy wasn't married, but taken anyway) and I told my friend that it was wrong of her to be involved with him. And if I was on my way to do something stupid like that, I'd like my friends to pound some sense into me again.

i agree, usually if my friends see that i am making a wrong choice in my life no matter how much ill disagree with them, i always listen to their suggestion.

This is one of the funniest, IMO.

Lane: The very concept of childbirth is vaguely disturbing.
Rory: Yeah. Kids are cool and all, but getting there seems like a big cosmic joke.
Lane: Definitely thought up by a man.
Rory: My mom said that when she told me where babies come from.
Lane: My mom still hasn't told me.
Rory: Really?
Lane: When my cousin got pregnant, she said it's because an angel brushed its wings against her face.
Rory: I could fill you in on the details sometime if you want.
Lane: No thanks, I've picked it up off the streets.

yeah, i thought that was a bit weird for Lane not say anything, or even be upset about what Rory did. I hate that they make Lane into the kinda girl who'll just agree with Rory no matter what.

I was just watching the episode where Lane was being sent to Korea and Rory was trying to calm her down as she was freaking out, then eventually Rory was like, "I'll miss you." She knows the power of Mrs. Kim.
