LORELAI WON’T SET A WEDDING DATE— Excited about catering the wedding, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) pressures Lorelai to set a date, but Lorelai won’t commit. While completing her community service hours, Rory (Alexis Bledel) takes a job at Emily’s (Kelly Bishop) DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) office. Convinced that she has a rival for the job of DAR president, Emily uses Rory as her spy. Logan (Matt Czuchry returns from Europe and returns to Yale, forcing Rory to confront her true feelings about dropping out of college. Lane (Keiko Agena) and her band return from their summer on the road. Luke (Scott Patterson) agrees to take care of Lorelai’s dog, Paul Anka, while she works late at the inn, and ends up rushing the dog to the vet. Finally, Lorelai admits to Luke her reason for putting off their wedding. Yanic Truesdale and Lisa Weil also star. Michael Zinberg directed the episode written by David S. Rosenthal

This should be good! The DAR stuff could be funny.

Logan was in Europe? I'm looking forward to see how Rory handles this Yale thing and if Logan will confront her about it.

im guessing this episode picks up after the summer now. Kinda weird having the summer after ep 2, but i guess they had to fill in those post finale things, but still jump forward. Logan being in Europe will prob be explained as the summer thing.

But im sad that this means Rory and Lorelai still havent patched things up and now a whole summer has passed.

I'm sad too that Lorelai and Rory still haven't patched things up, but they can't go through the entire season without them not reconciling, so I'm hopeful.

Just watched the episode, and I liked it. Especially the Rory bits. I thought it was funny - considering how things started- how she was organizing the group (who were picking the trash with her), and how she was being friendly and joking with them. And she's cute when she's so efficient.

And in the beginning of the episode she seemed to enjoy the DAR work too, but in the last scenes, with her standing, looking at the new students in Yale and then at the DAR induction (?) she looked sad.

Someone mentioned on another board that Rory looked a lot like Audrey Hepburn in that last scene at the DAR induction, and I have to agree. She looked gorgeous and very much like AH.

What did you guys think of the Rory/Logan bits?

I thought the rory/logan scenes were cute - but my god. When did Rory and Logan get THAT serious.
I knew they were dating, but Now that she has her own place it's like he's living there. Not that he IS living there.. but you know what I mean?

I was kind of thrown about how they Jumped 2 months in one week.. then I read this and now it makes sense. I was wondering how Rory got half her hours done.. but if it was 2 months it makes sense.

Loved the dance class scene.

I'm glad Loralia wants to work things out with Rory first before the wedding.. (now that I know its been 2 months it also makes sense why Sooki and Michael are betting she's getting her usual cold feet. that didn't make sense for one week.. but 2 months - ok, makes sense) I do wish that Loralia would make an effort though. I know she says its up to Rory.. but I see it happening that she waits too long and then gives up on the marrage. that would be disapointing.

I just saw the episode, and I loved Rory. She was so cute and fun again. I loved seeing the efficient and organised Rory again, even if its not about school, it was cute. And she seemed to be having fun.

And then theres the RL stuff. It was such a cute scene, at the dance then at her place. I love how Logan knows how imp school was to Rory that he's even worried about mentioning it infront of her anymore.

I felt sad for her seeing Yale and that smile on her face and then the DAR thing, she looked sad.

I dont think she even knows why she's not at Yale anymore. I thought it was so she could think about her future and what she wanted from life, if it wasnt going to be journalism, but this season its like she just wants to bum around and not do anything or even think of the future, which is unlike her.

Im sad the rift is still there too, and it is affecting Lorelai so much, moreso than Rory in this episode. But they are both being stubborn and its not good.

She was great!! Loved that episode. I could see her faking her feelings toward Logan... when she was at Yale I noticed her expression on how she missed it... she is faking her "I'm Okay".

And Rory is finally realizing that she needs leadership qualities... ypu could see that at the community center where she took matters at her own hand. She has always been very organized.. but now her leader qualities are taking over.. which is weird IMO to appear so soon.. since Rory has never been a true leader... but I guess sometime they just had to appear.

i just saw the episode and i loved it. I love all GG episodes but mostly loved this one!!!!! SHe was so adorable and cute!! I think that she is amazing and when she faked it to logan?? i mean does she even know why she quit Yale??? Well cant wait until next weeks issues

Yes, I agree. And she shouldn't. Who else to tell her how she really feels (when she isn't talking to Lorelai) than her boyfriend?
