Rory in 7.22 Gilmore Girls Series Finale "Bon Voyage"

7.22 Bon Voyage

Lorelai and Luke come to a new understanding, Stars Hollow throws a huge graduation party for Rory, and CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour guest stars in the episode titled "Bon Voyage."

From Futon Critic

This was the only ep description that I thought didn't reveal too much.

It's gonna be really interesting, and probably a bit sad too.

Me neither! It should be fun and, I think, emotional too.

I think Rory finally meeting her 'inspiration' was cute. Really loved the scene with her and Lane

So sad that it's over

I don't want to admit that it's over. No! I miss it already. No more Rory.

I thought it was a solid series finale. There were some funny parts but, I was still disappointed that Rory and logan broke up and luke and lorelai got back together. Both couples should've had happy endings. I don't think they reconciled things well and i wish we could have seen paris one more time. but i still love and will miss the show alot.

I thought it was a pretty good episode after all but a lot of things were left unresolved.

I loved how she met Christine Ampour. That was nice.

I'm glad Rory was single in the end. They could have ended the RL relationship a different way,but this whole show started out with Rory wanting to be a journalist and she did.

I loved all the Lorelai and Rory scenes. Some of them made me cry.

I'm in denial as well. I don't want it to be over.

I thought the episode was perfect. I loved Rory during the entire episode, it was so sad to see her say good-bye to all the people in her life.

perfect ending to a perfect show

I don't want to be spoiled, so I'm waiting to read your comments until I watch the ep tonight.

ETA: Just finished watching the ep. It was a lovely ending for the series, my expectations were totally filled. So many touching moments between the girls and their family and friends. I loved it! I had tears in my eyes a dozen times while watching the episode.

And a big WOW at the dress Rory wore when she came to Friday night dinner.

The episode was unbelievably amazing! I couldn't believe how good it was! Alexis' performance was outstanding, she really has improved over the years especially when it comes to crying. When she was talking to Lorelai at the party about how much she would miss her and she was tearing up, she looked so convincing and was just absolutely outstanding! The episode was amazing and even though I want another season even after this incredible series season finale (yes 2 and a half weeks later, I'm still in denial) I can't imagine a better series finale!

I'm glad you liked the finale, Chloie.

I really liked it too! I was so afraid it wasn't gonna be a good ending, since they weren't sure if it was a season or series finale when they wrote it. But they did such a good job IMO. It was both sad and funny. Just like a GG finale should be.

And Alexis' acting has definitely improved over the years.

This wasn't the best way to wrap up the series. I feel so many questions were left unanswered. It was one of my favorite episodes of the series though and the season. Rory kept the rocket from Logan. She went off into the world to be a journalist. They did have a celebratory breakfast for the Gilmore Girls.
