That's true. I loved it how they shared an interest in reading. Loved how Jess called Rory a 'book tease' in one episode.

I just thought...every book she read for school...he'd probably make sure he read it too--if he hadn't already, --so they could talk about it. Hee.

Aw. See, that's one reason I liked them. They were more than just an "I love you" "let's go to the movies" couple.

They actually had conversation's. Intelligant ones. I loved that she was his book tease.

Man, now i'm all nostalgic.. s2 dvd's here I come!

Jess & Rory might be at opposite sides of the spectrum in everything else but when it comes to their passion, they're like two peas in a pod. Being on the same wavelength is what makes their relationship click.

I totally agree with you on that, they were different, but the same, well im not sure that makes much sense. But they definetly had what was needed to make the relationship work, well up until near the end.

I never saw fundamental opposites in them, either. They were very much similar. They just reacted to their surroundings differently, probably based on growing up in such different surroundings from one another. But deep down, they were so alike. I think that was the attraction--they finally found someone they had so much in common with, who at the same time could show them the other side of themselves...

yeah they had just enough in common and just enough differences to make them the perfect combination. Thats why i loved them. They always had something to talk about, yet they grew up so differently and reacted to things so differently.

In Say Goodnight Gracie, do you think Rory kinda knew that Jess was leaving, when they met on the bus? 'Cause she gives him this really sad look when she leaves. And I don't think she was that surprised when Lorelai said that Luke didn't think he was coming back...

I think she may have had a clue.

I dont think she had a clue. To me it seemed like she was just upset because things were so tense between them and she wanted them to be okay, but she didnt want to say something first.

I think the reason she knew he wasnt coming back was because she knew him. She knew that if he took off it was probably for good, and then maybe the way he was acting on the bus fell into place.

I kinda thought she knew becauz of the look she gave him before she got of the bus, and she just didn't seem very suprised when Lorelai told her.
