Lorelai did keep a good balance between her two roles as best friend and mother I just enjoyed watching all their scenes together

I've been watching season 3 eps lately, and there are some great Rory/Lorelai eps. The dance marathon one is one of my favourites. )

One question though ... I'm not American, so I'm not sure if this is common there. Do parents always get so involved in their kids' choice of university? 'Cause Lorelai is really involved. We don't have that here at all.

I would say it depends on the parents when I choose my uni my parents were interested but not as much what Lorelai was

Oh, OK I guess there are some cultural differences concerning this. My parents cared which university I chose, but they were never involved in the decision process. They never told me their preferences or anything, not anything like what Rory and Lorelai had on GG
