One of my favorite scenes is from "Red Light on the Wedding Night" - when Lorelai is feeling weird about Max being in the house, so she goes into Rory's room.
  RORY: Aren't you happy? LORELAI: Yes. I'm happy. RORY: Well, then it'll be fine. You'll get used to it, having Max there. LORELAI: I know. You're right. I will. I will get used to it. [closes her eys] RORY: Mom. LORELAI: Hm? RORY: You're falling asleep. LORELAI: So? RORY: You need to be a big girl and go to your own room. LORELAI: Okay. [pretends she can't get up] Uh, uh... RORY: Fine, ten more minutes LORELAI: Thank you. __________________

One of the main reasons i love S1 is because the mother/daughter relationship was really good potrayed

I've never seen any other mother/daughter relationship that's as unique as Rory/Lorelai |

Without the Rory/Lorelai relationship the show wouldn't mean that much too me.
