The author is a huge GG fan. I noticed several things throughout the series which could have been inspired by GG.

How did you like it?

It's a trilogy. The author used to talk about wanting to write a prequel story about Maggie/Sam but I'm not sure if that's still happening. Probably not, because she added some of their backstory in the last book.

Well, it was originally going to be 4 books but her publisher only wanted 3 since trilogies are so in, so she had to make book 3 & 4 into one book, that's why the pacing in the last book is a little off but it was still good.
