They will share experiences from their recent trip together to Honduras with ONE to see how women and girls in one of the world’s poorest countries are fighting to pull their families out of poverty.

America Ferrera, best known for her role as “Betty Suarez” on Ugly Betty, will appear in the PBS television series Half the Sky with fellow Social Good Summit speaker Nick Kristof. This series examines the struggles of women in 10 underprivileged countries fighting for change. Alexis Bledel, recently on Mad Men, has been active in voter registration for the upcoming 2012 election.

Ferrera, Bledel, Kinder and Diaz-Ortiz will join world leaders, social media at the Social Good Summit, taking place Sept. 22-24 in New York City. Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker and Rebecca Moore, engineering manager at Google Earth Outreach and Google Earth Engine, will also be present onstage.
