| I would have to go with either Lauren or Milo for their chemistry with Alexis. I think a lot of her best scenes in GG are opposite one of the two. If we're just talking one of my favorite actors who has worked with Alexis, I'm going to have to say Victor Garber because he's the greatest. They never really had a lot of scenes together though. | Lauren and Matt. She and Lauren have this amazing closeness on screen that makes the mom/daughter relationship very real and genuine. And she and Matt play off each other very well. | Just thought I'd pop in with my echo of previous sentiments. One example that I love of pure Lauren and Alexis chemistry from Let the Games Begin (not necessarily my favorite scene, but just a perfect line): LORELAI: [reads from menu] "You haven't had a taco until you've spent some time at Hector's, crisp and meaty-" RORY: Dirty. LORELAI: Thank you. If you have a chance to watch that scene, I highly recommend it. It's just perfectly done. For Alexis and Milo I feel that we should all be reminded of the scene in Teach Me Tonight when they're in the car: RORY:You could do more. JESS: Oh, here come the pompoms. RORY: No, no pompoms. Just me saying that you could do more. JESS: So, Courtney, what about you? RORY: What about me? <That's the most perfect part. Her laugh right there.> JESS: What are your big ambitions? RORY: Harvard. JESS: And after Harvard? RORY: I'm gonna be a journalist. JESS: Paula Zahn? RORY: Christiane Amapour. JESS: You're gonna be an overseas correspondent? RORY: Yes, I am. JESS: You're gonna crawl around in trenches and stand on top of buildings and have bombs going off in the background and some wars raging all around you? RORY: What? You don't think I can do it? JESS: No, I do. Just sounds a little- RORY: A little what? JESS: Just sounds a little too rough for you. RORY: Well, it's not a little too rough for me. I hope it's not a little too rough for me. I've been talking about this forever. I mean I don't if know what I'd do if- JESS: Hey, I didn't mean to freak you out. I'm sorry. I'm sure you'll do it. You will. I promise. I'll help you practice, ok? Tomorrow, you'll stand in the middle of the street and I will drive straight at you screaming in a foreign language. RORY: Well, you're gonna have to learn a foreign language first. JESS: Well, it's lucky I've got me a tutor, isn't it? Yeah, sorry. Got a little carried away with the transcribing. Written words don't do it justice anyway. There are just some scenes where you can tell that it's not just a brilliant script or nice acting that's making you smile, it's just the way the actors interact within the confines of their characters. I suppose that's what makes great television. | |||

| Milo is definitely my favorite of her co-stars. Their chemistry was apparent from their first scene together. Everything between them was so natural, and they played off of each other so well. Ed Herrmann, Kelly Bishop, and Liza Weil all deserve mentions as well. I love how they interact with Alexis on-screen, and I've really enjoyed seeing how their characters' relationships have developed. It's a little early for me to call Matt a favorite, but so far I've loved him. I wasn't sure how he'd be with Alexis, but I've been impressed with him. They work together well (on-screen) and have great chemistry, IMO. | |||
