7.01 The Long Morrow

The seventh-season opener picks up where the last one ended, with Lorelai in bed with Christopher the morning after her argument with Luke. Now she faces the reality of her impulsive act and her belief that the engagement is over. She spends time with Rory, who is puzzled by a mysterious gift that Logan left her. Meanwhile, Taylor has a red-light camera installed in front of the diner, which leads to an accident that angers the already agitated Luke.

I think that Rory and Rory/Logan were the best parts of this episode, at least in my opinion! I think Alexis did an amazing job. Rory was funny and sweet and I just loved her in this episode!

I loved the episode. I think Rory's SL was the best part of the episode. Alexis did a wonderful job in this ep. I loves Rory quirkyness, and she was so cute and adorable. I haven't loved Rory this much in a long time. . I'm loving R/L more and more, dont worry though im still a lit at heart, but i also love RL as well.

Glad everyone seemed to like the ep. I've read a few not so flattering reviews of the premiere. But I think partly people are a little 'suspicious' about the fact that ASP isn't writing it anymore. They automatically expect it to be worse than before.

I still have to wait a few days until I see it.

Oh yay I'm not the only one that absolutely loves Alexis in a ponytail, she looks great, it's casual but yet nice at the sam time, I like how through most of this ep, she was wearing one. Anyway I absolutely loved Alexis in the premiere, she was so funny and witty and so much like her old self in seasons 4 and 5. She brought back the old Rory and I loved that so much. Gosh she had me laughing hard alot this episode!

As for the caps, beautiful stuff, thanks for making them Raja, they are great!

I also read that bad review, what a load of trash. Clearly this women has never seen Gilmore Girls in her life and if she did, she never really liked it like she tries to imply, actually I dont think she has seen it before, I think she just wants to make it look like David is making the show look terrible by saying she was a fan of the show before he started writing. What, does she have some personal vendetta against David so she is using Gilmore Girls to get back at him? Thats just lame. I couldn't even read the whole thing, it stunk so bad.

Ok yea that women has never seen an episode in her life.
Does she not know that half the charm of the show is there idiotic pointless babble? Like what the heck! It is part of the reason the show is so popular, they need to babble to show off there fast talking abilitys dummy Shes a nut.

I find it funny that at the end of this ruthless and cruel article, they put in big bold letters WATCH IT I guess someone is still on our side

Ouch. That review certainly wasn't flattering. I think people (even the critics) will like the show as they see more eps.

She's saying she was a fan of the show before David started writing? Does she know that DR was a part of the writing team last season too? Didn't he write an ep or two last season? And maybe earlier too?

Like I said, I think people are just a little sceptic in the beginning. From what I've heard, the upcoming eps will be great.

Yea he wrote 2 episodes in season 6, 'The Ungraduate' and 'Super Cool Party People' he was also a producer of the show before season 6, I think he started in season 4 possible before, I know I've seen his name in the starting credits in season 4 episodes

This was an okay episode. Not reall the best season opener ever.

I did like how Rory spent all her time trying to fin out about the rocket. It was very cute

The Racketball scene was hilarious. They were just talking the whole time even through they agreed not to talk.

I'm interested to see what Rory will think of Lorelai/Chris

me 2, I have been wondering for 4 months what she would think and what she would do about in the season premiere when she would (I thought) find out but Lorelai didn't even tell her. Maybe Luke will, I dont know. I really want to see what Rory would do, she clearly loves Luke more then Chris as a father (and maybe as a person as well) so her reaction to Lorelai going to Chris and sleeping with him while still with Luke should be interesting and very surprising.

and I must say that Alexis' her acting is improving a lot.. I loved her acting in this episode!
All the interaction with Lorelai and Logan.. beautiful!!
I love how determined she was on finding out what the rocket meant... and how cute the meaning behind it was...

Kudos to Dave R. for writing a teriffic episode IMO!
