Synopsis: Rory is accepted into the elite Chilton prep school. Bad news for Lorelai: she must make amends with her parents to borrow the money for Rory's tuition. The money is available- with strings attached.

Interesting fact about the Pilot: Most people probably already know that it was filmed in Canada. More specifically, it was filmed on the street three minutes from where I grew up and live now. GG and I were so meant to be

Everyone talks really slowly in the Pilot, as compared to say S4. They haven't gotten the hang of Gilmore talk I guess

The guy who hit on both Lorelai and Rory is from my country or at least he's a descendant cuz he has hungarian name. XD

during the pilot they were nice and slow

This is dangerous territory for me. If I start talking about the Pilot, I may never stop! It's my favorite Pilot ever, plus I like all of it, from start to finish.

+ The beginning is PERFECT. Lorelai and Luke fighting over how many cups of coffee she had/should have. The guy hitting on Lorelai and then Rory setting up the yup, I have a daughter, but you're so young that lasts throughout the entire season.

+ Michel is so perfectly snotty!

He's so mean but Lorelai knows what buttons to push. SOOKIE!!! Hehe. Sookie hurting herself and the kitchen all in one swoop. Lorelai and Sookie discussing "opening their own Inn" not 20 minutes into the Pilot. That's great writing right there.

+ Drella being such a bother. lol "I'm a great harp player, and this is my great harp." Bwah! I miss Drella. The Gilmores were so hot and cold from the beginning! "Is it Easter already?" Damn.

+ Rory's mumu! *lol* Lane! Oh, changing clothes once you get to school, a classic. "My parents set me up." Ha, Mr. Kim making a cameo by inference on the Pilot y'all! Mrs. Kim doesn't like Rory. lol

+ "You didn't with the principal, did you?"

Aw, Rory and Dean meeting. "Rosemary's Baby, that's a great movie." Not it isn't, but hey, it's still cute he gets all her references. lol This was still the time when Dean wasn't 10 times taller than Rory. Aw. I love that you totally get to see them grow up throughout the series.

(The height difference is not as pronounced as it will be once JP begins the rapid growth spurt. Hee.)
+Rory not wanting to go to Chilton after floating on a cloud that she got accepted. Teenagers... lol "Soooo, tell me about the guy. Is he dreamy?" "Ugh, that's so Nick at Nite." "Are you embarrassed?" "No, mom!"

I love Lorelai here so much.

+ OH MY GOSH! I can't believe I just noticed this. The scene when Luke is all fancy and stuff is like the scene where Rory and Dean first meet. The camera stops and pans up and Lorelai and Rory both look up as the camera goes up Luke and Dean. It's the same shot only Lorelai is sitting down and Rory was kneeling. That is so cute.

Anyway, shutting up now.

The pilot is the best ever. It's the synopsis of the whole series. It showed exactly the kind of relationships that made us love the series. Lorelai-Rory, Rory-Dean or a boyfirend, Lorelai-Luke and of course the Gilmore Girls - Emily, Lorelai and Rory.
