Apparently the semi-finalist for Best Actress in a Comedy came out (top 10, Emmy). Eva, Felicity and Marcia all made the list - No Teri. I'm rooting for Eva especially!

Thank you.

Spoiler:
James Denton Returning to Desperate Housewives — But Single
People.com ; July 5th 2008

If this season’s flash-forward finale of Desperate Housewives leftfans in a fog as to whether Susan and Mike were still together, James Denton has both good and bad news.

“Mike and Susan have definitely split up,” Denton tells PEOPLE. But fear not, he says he will definitely be reporting for duty on the set. “I’m not sure exactly in what capacity. [Series creator] Marc Cherry is being a little cagey,” he says. “It’s going to be interesting to see what happens. But I will certainly be on the show. It’s a relief to me, trust me.”

During the show’s summer hiatus, Denton, 45, is enjoying a favorite pastime—baseball. He will be playing in the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday, July 13.

A veteran of the annual event, this year he will be joining the rest of the players at Yankee Stadium. And don’t be surprised if he and the pro baseball players talk about Desperate Housewives in the dugout.

“It’s unbelievable the number of ball players that actually watch the show,” Denton says. “Jeff Kent of the Los Angeles Dodgers came up to me and just volunteered that he never misses the show, watches it all the time.” –Jesse North

I saw that too! I'm glad he's not off the show but I'm wary at the same time.

Spoiler:
Atleast Mike isn't dead and there relationship wasn't all for nothing. I can live with them being split up. They have a kid together... so it can't be for too long. Although, I like Susan's new man.

Yeah, it makes me feel like SM are still end game, but we will see!

On an Emmy note, I am truly surprised Dana didn't crack the top 10!

Totally... snub! Same goes for Teri. And seriously, Felicity? WTF! This was so not her season.

I agree completely. I adore Flicka, but she shouldn't be on the list. Same goes for TR Knight over Terry O'Quinn?! Seriously?! S3 had some good acting by TR, but not this year, I am baffled that GA even cracked the top 10 for drama, if it beats out Lost, I will be pissed.

GA totally redeemed itself (in my eyes) with the final few episodes. And yeah, it's weird that Terry O'Quinn lost a nomination to T.R. Knight (random!)

But, man... DH was snubbed for best comedy. That honestly sucks!

I'm glad Eva got acknowledged for this season, as she did great in terms of comedy. I always think Felicity deserves recognition, but she already has an Emmy. Marcia...eh, I'm not too sure about her. I hate Bree this season, so I can't really say. And Teri...I don't remember her having any standout moments. Not surprised about Dana-she wasn't funny.

I thought Teri was pretty hilarious...throughout. I always go back to 'The Game' with her entering the clinic. Hands down, one of my favorite Top 5 moments of the season, by far!

I guess it goes without a sayin' that I'm rooting for Marcia...ok, it's a biased opinion, but it's also based on the impressive, nuanced and consistent performances she has delivered this season, and I honestly think that she's the most deserving "housewife" ( I can't compare her to the other actresses in this cathegory because I've seen only Mary Louise Parker ). That said, I'm disappointed by Teri being snubbed because I think that she's the one who has improved the most in the last couple of years. I've always tought that she was great at comedy but not too convincing in serious/dramatic scenes (see the running after Mike in Sofie's wedding dress bit), and I was pleasanty surprised by the range and subtlety that she showed this season. She made me like and care for Susan like I had never done before. Otoh,I don't think that she submitted very wisely picking an episode where she had just a couple of scenes, even if she was really good in it.
About Dana... I've really liked her work this year and, tbh, I tought that she was funny in the episode she submitted ("Now you're perfect!" *evil grin*). I agree with lost soul and Katie that Flicka is a really good actress, but also that maybe this wasn't "her" year. Otoh, I'm probably the only one (please don't kill me! ) who didn't find Eva especially impressive/deserving. I'm annoyed that all the men where ignored as usual, and that DH as a show was snubbed. I really expected the show to get a nod, seeing that this season seemed to be generally well liked ...

Oh and I gave in to temptation and had to read into the spoiler tags (thanks for the article, lost soul! ) and...tbh, that's exactly what I expected for this storyline I really hope it won't become too similar to other situations these characters have already been in a thousand times...

I hope Marcia gets that nom cause it would be the only lead nomination for this year's nominations. Felicity she has her Emmy already let someone else get some recognition. Eva, i don't think she will get a nomination and Teri she's not deserving at all and i'm glad she didn't make the list.

I do wish the men could get a nomination cause Kyle was outstanding this season.

Am I the only person who enjoyed Susan this season? Alot more than S2-3, by far. Teri was outstanding this season.

I don't know, I liked Susan's stories best in s3, I thought the Mike/Susan/Ian triangle was very well done. She was alright this season but I don't really pay attention to her.
